A week or two had passed after my strange vivid dream of Eric and I. I'd tried my best to brush it off. I'd spent time working hard and finishing assignments from Ryan while also spending more time with Toby. Suprisingly, at this point, Toby and I were about as close as some of my good friends from back home.

I walked into Toby's office and knocked on the open door. "Hey Toby, you doing anything tonight? I need some new clothes and your better at being fashionable than I am." Toby laughed. "Sure! And your not wrong. I definitely dont try to wear Gucci and Balenciagas at the same time." I gave him a playful glare before saying goodbye.

"Tonight at 7." I winked.

Walking away from Toby's office and over to my desk, I stopped dead in my tracks. Eric and Cam were standing by my desk and talking. I didnt know what to do. "Um hey guys, do you need anything?"

"Oh Cris! We actually need you to fill in for Sam this week while setting up the podcast. Could you do that? Sam will show you how to set up and everything before he leaves." Cam spoke. Eric just looked at me expressionless from behind his balaclava.

"Sure. Is he going somewhere?" I asked grabbing some my phone from my desk and slipping it into my pocket. "He's going away with his family for a week." Cam replied. "Yeah the lucky bastard is going to the Bahamas for a wedding." Eric chimed in. My throat dried up when he spoke. I cleared my throat anxiously. "Ok. I can do that. Do you know where he is?"

Cam pointed towards the podcast room and I walked over to find Sam. Sam showed me the reins to setting up and running the cameras for when he was gone, and once I got the hang of it, Sam let me get back to my work. Altough, you couldn't really consider it work... it was doing things for people when they needed it and working early in the mornings.

At this time of day, I usually had nothing to do, so I walked into the break room to get me something to snack on. The cereal dispensers where almost empty. I sighed, and filled them up, snacking on some here and there before grabbing what I really went in there for.

Shapes! The best cheese cracker they kept in the office. I snatched the box out of the cupboards and opened the box desperately to eat them as soon as possible. As I fumbled with the box, Mason stumbled into the break room.

"Ooh! Shapes! I want some!" He walked up to me, noticing me fumble to get the box open. "Here." He took the box from me and tore it open. He then tore open the inside packaging and held it out to me after taking a handful. "Thanks." I spoke, shoving two shapes into my mouth and taking a handful for myself. "So how are things with you and Eric?" Mason asked.

I froze. I hope no one could hear us... "Um, there okay... We dont talk much. But I think he likes me as a friend." Mason smirked. "Friends. Suuuure. " He shoved more shapes in his mouth. "Oh shut up." I laughed giving his arm a playful punch. "Seriously though. I'm pretty sure if he was interested in me at all he would have made a move by now."

"Maybe. Or maybe he's to chicken to tell you how he really feels." I shrugged. "Either way, I'll probably never know." I said putting another shape in my mouth. Mason shruggred and then decided to wander off else where. I sighed. Maybe Mason was right. Was Eric too afraid to even approach me? The only time we really talked was when it was work related or he was extremely high.

Then again, maybe he's a quiet person when he's not on camera. Deciding to forget about it, I made my way back to my desk. It was only 4:30 in the afternoon and Toby wouldn't be ready to go out until 7. I sighed. I was frustrated. Why did time have to move so slow?

It was finally 7 and Toby had picked me up to take me shopping. He was wonderful when it came to helping me pick out clothes that would suit my body type. I was never the really skinny one, but I also wasn't overweight either, which made it difficult to find good clothes that fit.

I didnt really like how clothes made me look but when Toby was picking out my wardrobe, I looked like a whole new woman. Every store we went to that night, I purchased atleast one full outfit in hopes that maybe I could have something new to wear to work for a change and maybe look less... poor in a sense.

I thanked Toby for the fun night when he dropped me off at my apartment and said my goodbye before going to bed later in the evening. I was determined to make myself a whole new woman. Not only just to make myself feel good, but to maybe, catch the attention of the man I cared about most.

Sleeping thay night was difficult. I tossed and turned alot. Mainly worried about what would follow the next day when Eric finally laid his eyes on the new me. Maybe he'd hate it. And that scared me. But maybe he would love it. And that scared me too.

I woke the next morning when my alarm went off. It was time to get ready and show the world the new me. Show Eric the new me. Maybe make him notice.

I got dressed, did my hair and makeup and made myself a filling breakfast  before leaving to go to work. Today was a new day and I was going to own it.

No matter what happens.
