Chapter 2 (The Rope Seller)

"Venia?" Eroe was shocked. He let her into his store and hide her from the knights. "Who are you?" She asked, "Why are you helping me?" Eroe was confused, saying, "Have hit your head or something?" "Uhm..." she was confused either. "Let me cover your wounds first," he covered her scratches and stopped the bleeding. The knights knocked on his store, Eroe quickly covered themselves with a mat. Eroe hold her tightly for them not to move. Their faces are closer to each other. The knights knocked again, "Hello?! Anyone selling ropes?" They shouted. Then, Kini showed up and talk to the knights, "Good day, gentlemen! You wanna buy some ropes?" "Yes, we want three long ropes," said the Captain of the knights. "Seven Gold Coins," he said. The knights paid him ten gold coins, saying, "Keep the change." "Thank you, gentlemen! Come again!" Kini said to them as they are walking away. Eroe uncovered themselves, "Are you hurt?" He asked. Venia replied, "I-I'm fine." "Hey Eroe, who is that lady?" Kini asked. Eroe introduced her to him, "She's my friend, V--" he remembered that she were hiding her real name, "Viana!" "Viana? Very unique name... Are you sure that you are just friends? Or a lover?" Kini asked. Venia remembered, "Eroe? The chosen!" She said.

—The Heroes went to Yumiko townhall, and requested to search the whole town as soon as possible. "Why'd you not find them yourself, Rendera?" Asked by the Town leader, Nono. Rendera answered, "I know that someone is keeping one of the vonrenons." "Fine, make sure your job is clean. No chaos nor fighting," Nono said. He sent his hundreds knights to investigate the whole city.

That night, Venia woke up and begin waking up Eroe. "Eroe, we gotta go." She said. He woke up and respond, "Why? We are safe here." "They are hunting on us," she said.

Meanwhile, the knights were knocking every doors. And when they knocked on Eroe's store, Eroe and Venia were shocked. "Come here," he grabbed Venia and sneaked out to the trap door. The trap door lead them into a tunnel. The end of the tunnel is going towards the Easter Yumiko river. The knights broke down his door and search the store. Then, they saw the trap door. "They've left, captain!" Said the knight. The captain ordered them to follow them. When they came out from the tunnel, Eroe quickly carried Venia to cross the river, "Are you okay?" He asked. Venia answered, "Go on, I'm fine." When they made across the Eastern Yumiko River, they went into the woods to hide. They saw the knights coming out from the tunnel. "They escaped!" One shouted.—The captain talk to other captain, "Did you know who is the seller?" "I know who is it!" Said the other captain. They arrested Kini, "Why are you arresting me?!" He asked. The captain responded, "You will be sent into the Townhall prison. There, you'll be talking to the Heroes of Justice. Get him out of here!... Continue searching!"

Eroe put Venia down, saying, "We are safe here." They were in the far land of Woodland Nation. "You can rest here, I'll be going to find some dead woods to get us warm," ha said. But Venia holds his hand, saying, "Don't leave me." "I'll be back" he said as he kissed her forehead as a promise. After getting the dead woods, he came back to Venia to starts a campfire. Then, he saw her dying from her scratches. He heard a voice coming from his head, "Get a henbon(A rare leaf that heals the inside body/muscles), rip it, put it into a water, and let her drink it." He saw a henbon, planted beside her. He quickly get a clear water. He rip the henbon into pieces. Then, he put it into the water. He tried to make her sit down, but she was hurting whenever she tried to move. "Crap! I don't have any choice!" He drink the henbon water and he put inside her mouth by kissing her. Her pain were slowly healing by the henbon water. After Eroe kissed her, he felt strange inside his body. "What the- why am I-" he fell down unconsciously.

The next day... Eroe woke up with Venia beside her. "You're awake," Venia said. Eroe responded, "You feel better now?" "I'll ask you the same thing, you feel better, after getting a free kiss from the Dragon Sorcerer?" She asked. Eroe blushed and answered, "I'm saving your life, don't you see that?" "Are you really?... Listen, my mission has been completed. Now is my time to rest. It's your turn to make your mission possible," she said. He replied, "Am I really the chosen? I'm just a--" he felt pain on his right-side of his body. "What's going on with you?" She asked, but Eroe won't calm down. Then, the emblems were shown on his right arm. "You have the cursed shadow? How?" She asked. Eroe was slowly calmed down. She tried touching him, but she didn't feel anything. Eroe took a look on his arm, "What is this?" "Calm down, it's the cursed shadow. You absorbed it," she said to him. He was confused. "Cursed Shadow is the powerful 'weapon' that can kill anything, even Gods," She explained. "As long as you have the power of the Cursed Shadow, the Heroes won't stop looking for you until you die!" She said. "What am I going to do?" He asked. She answered, "Live, best thing to do."
