I wake up to an annoying noise- AKA, my alarm clock. I turn it off and then get out of bed, trudging to my closet. Right now it's four fifteen in the morning because Charles and Angela wanted us to be at the studio by five.

I slip on a teal crop top and white shorts before putting on my brown sandals. Then I put my hair up in a messy bun and walk over to Shawn's room.

I get ready to knock, and then I hear him singing something I've never heard before.

"We don't have to be ordinary, make your best mistakes," he sings. "'Cause we don't have the time to be sorry, so baby be the life of the party."

After he finishes that, I walk into the room and see Shawn holding his guitar with a notepad right next to him.

"Shawn, that was really good," I gasp.

He jumps a little bit because I surprised him, but then smiles. "Thanks, I'v been working on this for a while."

"What's it called?" I question him.

"Life of the Party," Shawn explains.

(Author's note: in this story, Life of the Party hasn't came out yet)

"I'm going to see that get number one on ITunes soon," I giggle.

"Possibly," he smirks.

"You should show that to Angela and Charles," I suggest.

"I don't know," he shrugs. "Are you ready to leave?"

"Yeah," I nod before we both exit his room and go outside.

I get into the drivers seat and immediately Gotta Go My Own Way from High School Musical blares off of my IPod that's plugged into the car.

"Really, Lexie?" Shawn laughs while putting his head in his hands.

"Hey!" I say in defense. "It's a good song! And it was my life when I was little."

"Wasn't High School Musical every little girls' life?" he chuckles.

"Duh!" I respond. "High School Musical was love, High School Musical was life."

"Okay then," he laughs

When we get there, it's five fifty five. We get the keys from the security guard for the room and then head up there.

I unlock the door and then walk inside.

"We're here," I groan and Charles laughs.

"Don't worry today's going to be a pretty easy recording day," he promises. "You guys only have to record a cover and then you can go."

"Really?" Shawn questions them, raising an eyebrow. They never let us go easy.

"Yep. We just want you two to sing a cover of Amnesia by Five Seconds of Summer," Angela explains. "So I need you to figure out who will be singing which parts. Then you guys just need to record the piano playing the song. After that you'll come in and use the studio to sing your cover."

"Okay," I nod before Charles tosses me a keychain.

"The keychain has the key to the instrument room and the small chip that you put into the piano before playing your song. Then when you click record, it'll record to the chip," he explains.

"Technology these days is cool," Shawn laughs and I giggle.

"Cmon," I say before we walk to the instrument room.
