Recap: "You two are going on tour!"

My jaw drops as I stare at Angela and Charles.

"What!? Why didn't you tell us that you were planning a tour?" Shawn gasps.

"Firstly, you wouldn't have gotten to decide if you were going to go or not because we're the ones in charge," Angela snaps. "Second of all, since we had you guys record a bunch of those songs when you had to come everyday for a week, we decided to have you go on tour and then you guys can perform them! The album will be dropped tomorrow, Tuesday, and the tickets for your show will also go on sale tomorrow. Then you guys will leave for tour on Friday!"

"Is this optional?" I ask quietly.

"No," Charles chuckles. "You have,
to go. We already set everything up."

"How long will we be on tour?" Shawn asks them.

"A month and a half," Angela explains.

"So you two better be ready! You'll be going all over the world!" Charles adds.

I take a closer look at the tour dates and I see we'll be in Australia, England, and a bunch of other places. That will be my first time in Australia.

"Okay, so we have two days of freedom before leaving?" Shawn restates.

"I suppose so," Charles nods. "You guys can also leave and go back home now, if you'd like."

"Um yes please," I awkwardly nod before leaving the room.

"That worked well," Shawn groans while sitting on an old wiry bench out in the parking lot.

"You've got to be freaking kidding me," I sigh.

"After the tour," he promises me while taking my hand in his. "After the tour we'll quit, and then everything will go back to the way it was before any of this ever happened."

"Something will get in the way," I look up at him, staring into his dark brown eyes. "Something is always in the way. Who knows, maybe they'll start a world wide campaign that we can't ever quit."

"Lexie," Shawn shakes his head. "This is life; life isn't perfect, and it'll never be. But if you make the best of it and think positively, it can be perfect to you. That's what we need to do here."

"I'm sorry," I apologize while wiping my eyes, trying to keep a tear from coming down my face. "I just wanted everything to end up like it was suppose to. But I should have known that that wouldn't happen."

"C'mon, lighten up. We have two days, not counting today, before we leave for tour," he reminds me. "Let's make the best of it."

"Yeah," I nod. "Let's go back home."

"Okay," he agrees as we head back to the car.

As soon as we enter our house, Nash runs downstairs. "Are you guys back together now that you quit?"

"Actually we can't quit," I correct him. "Apparently we're leaving on Friday to go on a work tour and we'll be gone for a month and a half."

"What?" he gawks. "Seriously?"

"Completely. Right before we were getting ready to quit, they told us that. So I guess we won't be quitting for a while," Shawn explains.

"Did you even have an option to go on tour?" Nash asks us.

"Nope. Oh, and we also learned that our album is coming out tomorrow and so are the tickets for our tour," I announce, shaking my head in annoyance.
