A long 2 years (Zoro x Reader)

"Zoro... What happened to your eye?!" You interrogated him.

It had been 2 years since you'd last seen him. The incident with Kuma had separated the crew due to his ambitions. It was like he was fighting a demon inside of him... Fighting for his humanity before the Marines turned him into a weapon of pure destruction. You knew the reason why he was like this but it still angered you to think that your brother would send you flying into a different island, with just a swipe of his palm. But at the same time, you were grateful. The only thing you could do when sent to a isolated island was to train everyday and come back stronger. Naturally, so did the rest of your crew, but something felt different with Zoro. He had a dark purple aura surrounding him and you saw two faces at each side of his body. It made you question if anyone else could see it but guessing how the two of you are in a populated town, no one gave him looks of fear or disgust. The answer was obviously a no.

"And... What are these 2 faces on the side of your head?" You questioned even more rubbing his cheeks. He was hesitant to answer at first but after a few seconds, he let out a frustrated sigh. Zoros hand wondered their way to his eye with a scar on it.

"Well..." He paused " During the two years, I was fighting baboons with inhumane strength... They were good at fighting with swords and to be perfectly honest, they wield the same strength as Mihawk. " He answered bluntly as usual. It sounds ridiculous. You grinned widely, not believing a word that the green haired swordsman had said.

"Hahaha! Oh Zoro! You were always the one I could rely on if I wanted to hear a joke! Come on now, get serious! What really happened?" You laugh while smacking his broad shoulders aggressively. "Baboons? With the strength of the greatest swordsman in the wor-"

"Y/N!" He shouts over you, instantly cutting you off. He clenched his fist together in anger. "Do you know the amount of pain that I've endured for our captain? Do you think that I've been laying around casually for 2 years, not doing anything while our captain lost his only brother in the world, that he loves dearly!? I've gotten stronger for Luffy's sake! He might be a hot headed idiot... But his dream is to become Pirate King, right? and I will not get in his way of that, do you understand?" His voice was dangerous and low. Zoros words were so sharp, they shook you down right to the core and sent shivers down to your spine. You didn't know what to say. All you could do was stare at him.

"You stupid idiot..." was all you could respond back. Your voice was soft as tears started to form in your eyes. "Of course I know how much pain you're in... I saw how Kuma forced you to feel Luffys suffering and pain." You inched closer to his face. " But Zoro, I want to take away all of that. So, I'm sorry if I'm being a pain to you right now!" your lips curved themselves into a huge bright smile, causing Zoro to smile with you.

"Oh? What's gotten into you all of a sudden?" He asked with an eyebrow quirked up and slipped his hand onto the corners of your waist. You two were like lovers who cares for one another endlessly. No matter how many quarrels you'd gotten into, at the end of the day, it was meaningless. Overtime, you'd seem to realise that really what you are... Is in love with him. Before you knew it, your arms were wrapped around his neck, bringing him closer to your lips. The scar on his eye made him more beautiful then what he already was. Finally, your lips meet with his passionately and hungrily. You anticipated this moment for a while. Zoro felt the same way towards the kiss. He rested his hands on your waist and pulled your body onto his in desperation. After a heated make out session, you pull away for air and stared into his eye.

"Come on, tell me everything about what happened on Baboon Island! We've gotta meet up with the crew!" You hold onto his large hand and started to get moving.

"Well, I already saw that shitty cook, can't we just leave him beh-"

"No we can't! He's probably on the Sunny already!"

And the trails of chatter rode off into the sunset and a new adventure awaiting for the Strawhat pirates.
