🌕🌕🌕🌕

3 months later...

I wake up early to the sunrise over the horizon. Daisy and Gambit were still asleep. I quietly got off of my vine hammock and climbed the tree to the top branch for a better view of the sunrise. It colored a beautiful canvas of purples, oranges, yellows, and blues just like the ones back home. Orange is my favorite color in the sunrise and sunset. Daisy and Gambit always judge me for being an early bird, but I can't help it. I love being up right when the sun is and then go to bed later after it sets when the stars are out. It makes me feel more at home, especially since it's all I have left of home for now. One day I will return to my kingdom, and I will deal with the werewolves. Hopefully I can make peace with them, I wonder what made them want to betray us back then and again now? There's always a reason for someone's actions, doesn't matter how good, bad, big, or small the reason is. It's still a reason.

The tree branches around wrapped me in their usual good morning hug. Nature has a tendency to do that. Whenever Daisy, Gambit, and I are out the trees and animals just love to hang around us. I think it's because they know we aren't human and are constantly connected with nature. Which is also why we found a job at the Ninjago City Zoo. Working there has been amazing these past couple of months. Daisy taught me everything about human culture and what they do to survive. I don't know why everyone is always so miserable? Why do a job you hate when you can do a job you love? That's what we do. Since Gambit was a troll, he works inside with the nocturnal animals. Daisy works around, but I prefer outside with the water animals and birds.

While working there we've heard rumors of ninja that save the city. I don't know what ninja are, but maybe they're warriors? Do they protect the city and rule it? I wonder...

"Y/n?! Get down from there! It's time to go to work!" Daisy says in her beautiful British accent. I smiled at her words and tapped the branches to let me go. I climbed down and let my bare feet hit the cool morning grass. She had her hands on her hips.
"Were you watching the sunrise again?" She sighs, already knowing the answer. I smiled and nodded. She sighed and shook her head.
"Why do you do that? You could've been seen by wandering humans!" She exclaimed. I shrugged.

"I like watching the sunrise, it reminds me of home." I simply replied with a tiny grin while climbing up my tree house to get ready. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms while watching me climb my tree.

"Princess, you seriously are going to be the death of me. C'mon, get ready for work so we can at least have a meal for the next couple of weeks. That means you too, Gambit!" She said sarcastically and then nudged Gambit out of his hammock, waking him up.

"What??? Oh, yeah yeah. I'll be ready in a jiffy..." he said while rolling over onto his stomach and falling back asleep. Daisy rolled her eyes and I giggled while putting my work shirt on.

"You both are going to be the death of me, we have to be at work in 30 minutes! Let's go!" She rushed us. I finished throwing the rest of my work clothes on and putting my work shoes on. I put my hair into fishtail braids and let them drop to my stomach. Welp, my hair grew faster than I thought it would. I shrugged it off and grabbed all my work necessities like my badge, name tag, keys, and etc. I put my badge and nametag on and my keys into my jeans pocket. I climbed down my tree and joined Daisy and Gambit on the secret pathway to the main path in the forest. Gambit was already ready for work. How? Who knows?

"I'm ready! Let's go!!!" I said in a cheery, bubbly tone while skipping onto the pathway. Daisy cleared her throat and I stopped to look at her.

"Um, are you forgetting something? Like maybe, I don't know, closing our hideout from any humans who enter the forest?" She scolded me and crossed her arms. I groaned and pouted.
