It was a silent ride for the sisters. Both absorbed by their own thoughts.
Drishti stared ahead at the road and ranted in her mind. "This divi! never listens to me. Bukar hai aur isse phir bhi office jana hai! Na hi khud apna diyan rakhti hai or na hi mujhe rakhna deti hai. Meeting zada important hai ya health?! Agar tabiyat aur bighad gayi toh?oh god please Divi ko safe rakhna. Mai mummy papa ko phele hi koh chuki hoon, ab apni divi ko nahi koh sakti.".
A lone tear escaped her eye but she quickly wiped it before Divya could see it. She glanced at the passenger seat and saw her resting her head against the seat's headrest. She smiled at her innocent face and went back to driving.
On the other hand, Divya was having a really hard time dealing with her headache. She rested her head against the headrest and tried to ignore the pounding in her head.
"ouch. god, this headache! I cant tell di she will be worried and turn the car right back around. Calm down divi. Breathe. Breathe. just breathe. Di mera kitna khayal rakhti hai. Meri har zaroorat ka khayal rakhti hai. Roz subah meri chadar urti hain. Main une aur tension nahi de sakti. I can get through this. I know she is really protective because of what happened with Mumma papa. She will freak if she finds out just how bad it is. Aur phir Sirf ek meeting hi toh hai. Sirf..." her thoughts were interrupted with the sudden brake of the car.
She jerked forward and her head almost hit the dashboard but the seatbelt saved her. But that didn't help her throbbing head though. At this point, if there was something she really wanted to do was scream but she controlled herself and turned to her sister.
"Bye di! Love you!".she pecked Drishti's cheek and got out of the car.
"Love you too. Remember the other two things I told you! " Drishti reminded but Divya was already gone.
She leaned back into the seat and closed her eyes. She knows Divya very well. She was not going to update her every hour. Even if she did, it was not going to be the truth. So she did the next best thing.
She picked up her phone, dialled a number and tapped her fingers on the steering wheel while waiting for the person to answer the phone.
"Hello, di. Ajj yaad a hi gayi meri." the person on the other end laughed.
"Shikar yaar. What are you doing? Why did you take so long to answer? anyways leave that, I need a favour."
"Yes, di. Anything for you. But what happened? why do you sound so tensed?" shikar inquired. Shikar and Drishti were quite close. She had met him in Rakshit's office and they became friends. To him, she was like his elder sister and he could do anything for her.
Shikar wanted to be independent so he decided to work in another office first before joining the family business and it happened to be where Divya worked as well.
"Divya is sick but she is being difficult. she isn't feeling well but she won't stay at home and rest. I told her to update me every hour but I know she won't tell me the truth. Can you please keep an eye out for her and call me is there is anything wrong?"
"Yea di. No problem. I will take care of Divya. You can trust me."
A smile crept its way onto her face. "I know. Thanks, shikar .i need to go now or else Mr Shergill will eat me alive."
shikar chuckled. "alright di.bye!", saying this he hung up the phone.
