"Sumimasen..."

*poke*

"5 more... minutes..."

"Ano, please wake up, I'd like to help you."

'Since when did I need help-

Oh right. Since I could never escape from that wretched laboratory hah.'

Creaking one eye open, you were greeted by something long. (What.) Your eyes widened, it was red and- there were eyes behind. It was too close indeed. You leaned your head back, squinting your eyes once again and trying to clear a proper image of the person- thing before you.

An awkward silence passed before you started viewing the thing from the sides. Since then you only realized it was infact a mere man looming over you with a red mask that has a longass nose.

You scratched your head, nose scrunching up. A tengu mask.

"What do you want old man?" Came your blunt response. You couldn't see it, but you could feel his eyes twitching while staring at you.

"Gomen, I wanted to help you. Please come back with me, for it is not safe out here. You are naked too, and I assume you must be starving." He said.

Your eyes proceeded to squint again, your looks sending off the clear vibes that you're doubting him.

"Hm, I'm fine with being naked, I've been naked since I was born and have never touched a piece of clothing in my life. Safe out here... I am safe out here because I can handle myself just fine. Then starving..." you walked towards him,

"Of course I want some food. Lead the way old man." He sweatdropped, confused with your straightforward manners but nontheless nodded and walked down the path that led to his house.

(Urokodaki's House)

"MhM, that smell though..." you exclaimed to yourself, not knowing that tengu mask man heard it, chuckling a little afterwards.

How long has it heen since I've eaten food?! Not so long- but still.

Pushing aside the so-called respectful manners, you speed-walked past Urokodaki and quickly entered the house, searching for the smell of the food. You stuck your nose high up in the air, before sniffing and started tiptoeing your way.

Urokodaki followed right after, dropping his sweat (sweatdropping is already getting old let's switch up lmAo) while standing still in the doorway.

"U-uhm, lady, please calm down and take a sit. I will get the food I was cooking earlier and I'll give you some clothes too."
He said, going into the kitchen area.

"O." You exclaimed. Taking a sit down on your knees, heh- no. You patiently-

"Where's the food old man?!"

...patiently, waited for the food to arrive. The man entered inside, carrying some plates. You hungrily eyed the dish he was setting down on the table, and to your demise, your hunger made sure you'd eat the rice he was still holding.

He paused a little as you scruffed the rice up, that he was still holding, staring back as he found you staring at him while swallowing the rice whole.

You both didn't move.

"Can, can you, I want to eat." You stated.

...

"You sure are one weird woman."

Urokodaki. Nice name. Former water pillar. Nice name. Old man. Nice nickname.

You laid down on the floor, arms spread apart as you just finished your meal. You requested a lot more than he could manage, but thanks to his kind-hearted soul, he decided to cook for you.

You glanced down, your once exposed chest now covered with fabric. Urokodaki gave you some of his clothes, ones that he hasn't worn- a jinbei styled kimono. Considering it was summer, it was a good thing to wear those clothing.

"Ne, what's in this world, old man?" He perked up at your question.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

You stared up at the ceiling.

"I mean... what can I do in this world? What's new in it?" You asked again.

He hummed, now clarifying the fact that he's quite interested in you now. (He's too old not that way man- unless-)

"Well- first off, there are demons, of course. Demon slayers including me, we are all one organization that kill these demons in order to prevent them from killing anymore of our people. Demons are cruel beings, but they do not just reproduce their own kind. There is one person that causes such things to happen to humans, changing them to the form of a demon."

You blinked, wondering what would happen if you were changed into one. A half-demon diclonius? That'd be weird.

"Say, (Y/n), are you interested in becoming a Demon Slayer too?" You quickly sat up, frowning.

Are humans worth to save? After all, in the past, humans were considered the cruel beings for you. You looked behind Urokodaki, but, this world is different, I can tell.

You looked back at him.

"Urokodaki-sama, I'm interested."
