The truth shall be told.

"Wake up."

You blinked your eyes open, met with the same long nose again.

"Urokodaki-sama. Goodmorning." You greeted and he leaned back, waiting for you to stand up.

"You may have a bath, after you bathe come eat and we shall start our training." You nodded, waiting for him to leave the room. Once his figure was gone, you sighed.

I'll tell him the truth later. I'd like these weak humans to know I'm not a human. I never will. You scoffed.

Though irritated, the feeling subsided as it was replaced by a feeling you couldn't understand. The old man's kind gestures, making surs you felt at home, you didn't understand why.

Your eyes widened, your horns, hasn't he noticed yet?

You lifted your hands up to touch your horns poking out, before letting your arms fall to your sides.

Whatever.

You headed towards the bathroom, readying yourself.

"Itadakimasu."

Urokodaki thought that your hunger probably was the thing that caused you to have such rude manners yesterday, yet he didn't mind it, it was a quirky asset in you.

"I have a question." He spoke up.

Your shoulders tensed up, feeling like you already knew what he was going to ask.

"What are those?" He pointed to your horns. You sighed, swallowing your food before looking back up at him.

"Well, uh- I did have something to tell you. C-can we wait after this meal?" You politely asked. He seemed to understand and nodded, letting you continue your breakfast.

The two of you were outside now, somewhere still near his house.

"Ano, the truth is..." you averted your gaze from him.

"I'm not human." To your surprise, he acted like he knew it already as he didn't move or say anything at all.

"Then what are you? For sure you're not a demon, I can tell." He said.

"Well- I'm a diclonius. You see, I may look a little human but these horns sure do give it away. I have uh, hands. I mean-- vectors or receptors that are like invincible hands attached from my back. I'm different from the others, for I have six of them. Three on each side." You paused.

Now he seemed shocked, intrigued even.

"Tell me more."

"Right- and well, mine are pretty long too. Their... experiments ended up making me even stronger..." you mumbled.

"Just- they're strong and-" you stopped, not knowing what to explain further more. You waited for his response.

"That is interesting indeed. (Y/n), I can tell you don't even need a sword to be able to kill such demons. I'd like to see your capabilities, if you'll allow me to." Your eyes widened at him.

"Y-you're not... pushing me away, like the others?" You almost whispered.

He shook his head.

"Iye, not at all. You must be very important if paired on the good side. I will let you join the test if you pass mine first."

"This is the boulder that needs to be cut in half for you to pass the te-"

*slice*

He stood there, mouth agape somewhere behind his mask.

"So can I go to the test now?"

"How- how?!" He showed a new emotion this time, shock and astonishment.

"Like I said, my vectors. They can cut through anything, no matter how thick or thin. No matter how many." Still in shock, he slowly regained his composture.

"That is truly- amazing, (Y/n). Without even moving an inch, you managed to cut through this boulder that requires such strength..." he straightened his back once again, giving you a pat on the head.

"Great job." Somehow, as soon as he praised you, you felt yourself lighten up in glee, this feeling... nobody had ever patted your head before, his touch felt like how a father would congratulate their child.

You looked up at him, and for once, gave him a genuine smile.

"Arigato, Urokodaki-sama..."

°•°•°•°

"Since we both know your vectors possess great powers already, if ever the time comes, you also need to know how to defend yourself using your own two hands. So we will test your physical strength using a sword too."

"Here." He tossed you a sword.

"I've prepared four bamboos for you. These four bamboos are about as thick as the size of a normal demon's neck. If you're able to slice through it, then you can easily decapitate a demon with no problem." He explained.

He proceeded on showing you the proper stance and swing of the sword, and he was quite happy with how much of a fast learner you were.

He stepped back, "alright, just do it like how I did it. Now go." He gestured for you to try, and you did just as told.

Bringing your sword up a little slanted, you gripped the sword's handle and quickly swung it down, the sword slicing through. Diclonii have half the strength of their vectors, so you didn't have any problems cutting through the bamboo.

"Good. It seems diclonii are powerful, huh?" You nodded, smiling a little.

"Now, I'd like to teach you hand-to-hand combat. It is still important for you to know how to defend yourself without any weapon to hold." He said.

Hours passed, and you successfully learned all that Urokodaki have had taught you. You were able to increase your physical strength, and learned how to dodge by your own, in short without the help of your vectors.

You two went back in, took a bath, and started to rest.

You told him about what you were, excluding the part that you were a cold-blooded killer to humans like him.
