Mira POV

I was walking down the hall towards Gaius's room when I saw Merlin. "Merlin!" I ran up to him, "Oh sorry Arthur." I backed up, "It's alright Mira, I was just asking Merlin where he was most of the day. All I've managed to find out is that he was with a girl." Merlin's cheeks had a light pink hue to them. "Oh Arthur that's easy he was with me." Arthur looked at me confused, "He was with you? Then why is he blushing." Merlin quickly jumped in. "I'm not blushing I'm just sunburnt." He said, "How it is cloudy outside!" Arthur yelled at him. "You can still get one on a cloudy day." Merlin fired back. "Guys enough." I sighed and grabbed Merlin's arm. "Don't you have jobs to do merlin?" He nodded hesitantly, "then go do them so we can spend time together after." He nodded really fast, almost like a kid getting a reward, and sprinted down the hall. "Why does he listen to you, but not his king?" Arthur asked annoyed, I smirked. "Because he doesn't want to mess things up with his soulmate." I sat before turning around and walking to Gaius's chambers. "Wait what!" Arthur called from behind me, "that idiot is your soulmate?" I stopped and turned around. "What of it?" I asked menacingly, "Nothing!" He slightly cowered. "Good now be a good bit and go see your soulmate." He nodded and bolted down the hall.

Arthur POV

I ran into my room and slammed the door. Dang! Mira can be scary when she wants to be. I sat down behind my bed and waited for my nerves to calm down. "Arthur?" Gwen called, "over here my darling." I called, she walked over. "Why are you hiding?" I shook my head. "Mira is Merlin's soulmate. And I called him an idiot and she got scary!"

Mira POV

"Gaius?" I called, he popped his head up from the book he was reading. "Oh Mira just the girl I wanted to see." I walked over and helped him up. "What did you need?" He sighed, "I need some more herbs, but they only grow in the forest near the northern borders. I would go get them but it's going to get stormy out later tonight and I wouldn't be back until late." He paused, "Do you think you could go get some for me?" I giggled. "Sure, do you have a container it was in before? I need a scent to track." He grabbed a glass jar and handed it to me. I sniffed it, it smelled like freshly trimmed grass and pinecones. "I will be back soon, if I'm not send Merlin because I hate storms." He nodded slightly. "Bye Gaius." I ran out the door, and sniffed around. There! I followed the smell late into the night. It was starting to get cold. "I found it!" I grabbed the plant and put it in the container and placed it in the satchel. Turning back I ran as fast as I could. But not fast enough. I was about half the way home when it started to rain. Only thunder though, thankfully no lightning. Karma must have been getting me back for eating the last cookie. A lightning bolt flashed across the sky. I ran faster only to come across an old shack. I ran inside and sat in the corner trembling. Thunder cracked and lightning struck and I whimpered covering my ears.

Merlin POV

"Gaius? Where is Mira?" I called into our room. "She went to grab me some herbs should be back soon." I looked outside, "but it is storming outside?" Gaius's head shot up from his notebook. "How late is it merlin, hurry tell me!" I stumbled, "uh 11:20pm I think." Gaius stood up and grabbed a coat. "She said if she wasn't back by 10 to have someone come get her. I don't know if it's still true now but she has always hated storms. Especially lightning storms." He handed me my coat and pushed me outside. "I'll be back soon, I hope." I added as i ran to find her. I know she went north, but there isn't any protection from the weather there but maybe she got close to coming back. That's it the old shack! I jumped on a horse and ride out to the shack. I hopped off and lead the horse closer to the house. Tieing it I went inside. My mark glowed a dim gold, she was here. I walked into the back and she was there holding her ears and whimpering. "Mira. Mira its me!" I hushed her. She opened her dark blue eyes and sniffled. I picked her up and helped her to my horse.

Mira POV
Merlin got on in front of me and I clutched his waist. Another lightning struck except this time 10 feet from us. The horse was spooked and sped us off in the wrong direction. "Shush it's okay there there." Merlin calmed it down, he turned us around and we ride back to Camelot. When we got there, he helped me off the horse. I helped put him back in his stall. And merlin shuffled me to my room. "Are you alright?" He questioned, I nodded. The thunder cracked again and I jumped into his arms barring my head in his chest. "Flor ga thecho de camos" he put a hat on my head. All of the sudden the storm noise was gone. "Did the storm go away?" I asked him, he chuckled and shook his head. He lifted the hat a bit just enough so I could hear the rain again. "I sound proofed your hat." He fixed it on my head again and took the satchel ofI f me. He left and got Drusilla, she came in and helped me into my night clothes. I came out of the bathroom and cuddles on my bed. Silla left leaving Merlin and I alone. "Can you stay until I fall asleep?" I asked, he nodded again and layed down next to me. I cuddled into his chest and fell asleep.
