your eyes were leaking tears as you returned home from the shop, your head turning sharply at any small noise. you were on edge; two boys had gone missing from your school now.
it feels like my fault.
you knew it wasn't. you found yourself silly for these feelings. but deep down a great unease resided in you, unshakeable. you felt ill at the thought of the missing boys- despite the rumours they had run off together due to a forbidden love.
you didn't want to be alone tonight: your parents had left you for the weekend- and the original peace had turned to an eerie silence. as you walked up your steps, your hands shook violently. opening the door was a stuggle, and the lame attempts at calming yourself failed.
you tried to handle it, but every small noise echoed around your house, and figures appeared to be hiding in the shadows.
you gave up. looking down at your phone for the one person you strangely wanted right now.
