Chapter 6: Maybe it Does Get a Bit Better

I've finally gone back to school after a two week break. To be honest, I never thought I would rather go to school then stay home. But I guess that's what happens when you have to deal with being born the gender you do not identify with.

I really missed my crazy friends, they at least call me by my pronouns and by my name, no matter how much we might argue sometimes.

Some of them are really fun to hang out with, some of my friends, Aliyah; Joan and Jamie have been amazing to hang out with. Though I may not be able to see Aliyah much in class as we only have one class together.

Hanging out with Joan and Jamie during class is always the best, though there are a lot of sexual jokes between us three, mainly Joan and I. I honestly think that what makes this even worse is that both Joan and I are homosexual males (I'm bisexual and none of us truly know what Joan is, not even him. We really just call him gay because he does like men), but neither of us like the other and sometimes try to kill eachother. Poor Jamie having to watch this sometimes, though she does join in. Having basically all LGBTQ+ friends is fun.

*timeskip to the end of the day*

Fuck.

So I was just relaxing on my bed, for once.

I was just thinking through everything that has happened since the beginning of the year, and I realized something...

Since November...

I've started developing feelings for one of my friends...

I groan into my pillow on what seems like it'll be another sleepless night for me. Mumbling quietly to myself with a small blush.

"Goddamnit Joan... why do I have to have emotions... You know what, I most likely don't have a chance but it's fine. If anything, like past crushes, this'll just go away in the next couple days or so. But until then... why not 'flirt' back."

Maybe it does get a bit better
