It has been a really good game between the Schweiden Adlers and the black jackals.
Shouyou's team, the back jackals managed to win after many long and exhausting sets. Everyone on the court just kept on pushing and pushing. But at the end he hit the final spike into the other side of the net. It smashed into the ground loudly and satisfyingly.

Only an hour later, the omega finds himself in a bar surrounded by all his teammates who are celebrating happily and also don't hesitate to fill their shot glasses a few more times up full.

Tobio is not a member of Shouyou's team. But still, he is standing by his mate's side. The two haven't been able to spend a lot of time together in the last weeks. Their practices take up most of the day and Shouyou is hyper-focused on getting into the national team alongside Tobio. So they can finally play in the same team again.

But that's not the only reason. He's also unbelievably proud of his mate. Shouyou has grown so much over the last few years. He is not the same boy he was in the beginning of high school. He's a strong player that nobody should dare to underestimate.
It is only fair to accompany him and praise him for his good work.

The party also turned into a somewhat team reunion. Suga, Yamaguchi, Asahi and Daichi are there too.

Tobio has turned towards the group of old teammates and talks with them about their lives while Shouyou griningly accepts another shot from Atsumu. His new setter, an alpha. His personality is quite different from Tobio's. The two setters don't really get along.
Shouyou is marked well and deeply on his neck. Still, Tobio ogles how Atsumu has an irritatingly playful attitude around his mate. He doesn't shy away from putting his hands all over the other one's body.

Just right that moment, he has his arm around Shouyou's neck and loudly praises him for something he did in the game. The omega only waggles his head in agreement while adding his input with at least as much excitement.

His expression turns into an unhappy frown. He also grabs his drink and shots it down his throat.
He is acting childishly, he knows that. Atsumu is a playboy. He flirts with everyone he finds attractive.
Shouyou is a cute omega, so it's to no surprise that Atsumu finds himself grinning cheekily at him.

But Shouyou is his.
Tobio bitterly thinks.

Ten hours later the two boys find themselves back in the apartment of Koshi Sawamura and Daichi Sawamura. The couple has taken them into their home. This parental side of their relationship never seems to have changed.
Also, Shouyou and Tobio both decided to get totally wasted last night, so it's for much preferred safety precautions that they dragged them into their place.

"Where am I?" Tobio mumbles. He is confused.
His head turns towards his side where he can see a smiling figure, Koshi?

"Good Morning, Kageyama. Slept well?" he greets him warmly.
The asked person blinks, his brain is working all the missing pieces together before he states "I feel horrible".

Koshi sinks down besides his futon.
"Well, I'm not surprised. You drank quite a lot yesterday"

Tobio tightens his eyes and seems persistent as he mutters in a short reply "I don't think I drank a lot. - I'm not really much of a drinker".

Perhaps he is simply embarrassed by the memories that are coming up again.

He aims to represent the embodiment of self control: eating healthy, not drinking alcohol and staying always active.
It would be rather embarrassing for him to admit that he wasted himself only because Shouyou got comfortable with one of his alpha friends.
He should know much better by know. They have been mates for almost five years by now, for fuck's sake!

Yes, they have been separated for two years because of Shouyou's time in Brazil. But Shouyou is still Shouyou and he should be able to control his alpha instincts and urges by now.
This is not wildlife!

He angrily swallows his disgruntlement but Koshi's next statement startles him.
"You were flirting with Hinata".
Is he being sarcastical? To highlight his teenage-jealousy-like behavior?

"So what? He's my mate?"

Koshi smiles, but not really warmly this time. It's a lot more full of mischief and more like a grin.

"You asked him if he is single and started crying when he said he isn't".

"No way!" Tobio exclaims.
Koshi chuckles.
"It's okay. I'm not trying to shame you. But you really were something else last night".

Tobio's frown doesn't last for much longer. He feels something move beside him.
Just in that moment, he realizes that there is a small figure with messy orange hair tugged to his side.
It starts embracing him lovingly with a tired smile.

"Tobioo" a whine comes out of his mouth.

"Morning, idiot" he greets his mate.
His heart feels a lot warmer now.
The omega lazily rubs his face against Tobio before telling him while yawning.
"You were so frustrated when I told you No. You thought Atsumu is my mate. It was really stupid".

He finishes stretching his arms towards the ceiling and repositions them back around the black haired alpha.
"Then, you started insulting him saying I deserve someone better than him"

Tobio's cheeks become a lot redder over time. This is embarrassing.
He is already promising to himself to never drink that much alcohol ever again. His limit is too low and being a sentimental drunk doesn't help at all.

There is silence for a minute. Koshi is still sitting besides them.
"Are you thirsty? You two should drink some water".
He stands back up and hushes himself into the kitchen area before they can even answer his question.

Tobio looks back into the big eyes of his beloved mate.
"Are you really that jealous of Atsumu-kun?" he asks hesitantly with a quiet voice.

The alpha averts his gaze and thinks about it for a moment.
"I uh- well. It's just I miss tossing to you. And then I see him doing it so - arrogantly as if there's never been another setter for you besides himself".

"Well, I know for a fact that he tried to rile you up before the game began." Shouyou says.
Tobio angrily remembers the scene in front of the bathroom.

Him and Tobio were bickering like always. Atsumu came in, saying he shouldn't fight with his spiker. That really annoyed him.
The two mates are a combo, a pair, inseparable.
No one should go around undermining this fact and even think they're more deserving of Shouyou.
Even his new team setter.
He can only dream of a world in which his omega's team had only a standard, uninteresting, preferably already mated beta setter.
But even this disgruntled him because obviously Shouyou deserves a good setter- the best one actually. But still not a cocky one.
He huffs into the air.

"Tobio, you're still my favourite setter, you know that?" a teasing voice asks.
Tobio simply humms shortly.
"and also you're the most important person of my life. I love you"
If Tobio wasn't red and blushing all over by now, he would worry there's a problem with his body.
Because his mate is really doing things to him.

"I'm - fuck. Shouyou. I'm sorry. The way I acted was childish."

Shouyou giggles sweetly.
"It's okay, besides I also got mad when these two beta girl approached you because they knew you're in the national league."

"I don't remember" mutters Tobio.

"Hmm, they were definitely undercover-fangirls. - but hey"
He rolls himself on top of his alpha.
"I only want you. Never forget this".
"Yea of course- I mean. I love you and I only want you too".
Shouyou humms satisfied and roames his hands over the other one's abdomen.
Tobio pulls him down for a kiss.

"Ohh, you two are so adorable" they suddenly hear from the sideline.
Koshi is standing there, a water glass in each of his hands.
