Past lovers and warfare
It's just you and me now (Yeah, yeah) «♠ ♠ ♠
It's real. They have just arrived at Yoongi's hometown around 3 AM and they are currently circling around the district for any available 24 hours convenience stores that they can use as a temporary stop. Jimin was suddenly craving for some sweet snacks and Yoongi gladly complies.
It took them twenty minutes (only because Yoongi said he's not familiar with this area anymore. It's been years since he has been there, apparently) to find the store.
"I haven't been to Busan for like, since I graduated but I still remember exactly the road I must take. Hyung seriously," Jimin whines, punching slightly Yoongi's shoulders before giggling while he walk inside the convenience store.
"You can't blame me, not everyone has the same braincells," Yoongi said. He can only sigh in relief seeing how Jimin isn't annoyed by the ungodly hour they arrived from Seoul to Daegu. If anything, Jimin look cheerful. Bright. Like a sun. His cheeks rosy caused by the cold night's breeze. Ah damn it, Yoongi think the man is adorable.
"Yoongi, do you have anything you want to bite on?"
Yoongi shook his head but he already know that the younger gonna take some for him too and shove his mouth with it. That is in Jimin's nature, to care and to protect those around him. Yoongi ignore his active imagination about Jimin raising kids, or taking care of kids. Nope, not adorable. At. All. Seriously, is it because it's three in the morning? Why does his mind keep telling him how adorable the younger is? Stop.
A light tap on Yoongi's shoulders and Jiminie come popping out next to him. Smiling so blindingly Yoongi really thought it's sunrise already.
"Quit staring, people will know I'm your wifey!"
Thump!
Yoongi feel his heart ache and his smile fading when Jimin winked at him before running to the counter with various snacks wrapped in his arms. The cashier behind the counter not the least bothered when Jimin greet her with a cheeky giggles, telling her that it's his first time being here and the lady nods her head about the 'it's cold but I like the scenery here!' Jimin randomly spouted.
Yoongi smiled when Jimin pointed at him who's standing next to the entrance door. Must be Jimin telling her that Yoongi is from Daegu. Ah the little tattletale, Yoongi want to squish the younger's cheeks for talking too much. Come on, it's three in the morning Jimin!
They're back in the car and Yoongi did squished Jimin's cheeks.
"I'm just being friendly hyung, she seems nice." Jimin pouted. "And a little lonely!" He added while grabbing the chocolate bar. Yoongi only nods, starting the engine.
"Everyone need themselves a little Jimin in their live huh? Me too." Yoongi was speaking without thinking as he took them out of the parking. When he turn his head to look at the younger, Jimin is staring at him. Eyes crescent, sparkling under the dimmed moonlight.
"And you've got the whole Jimin for the rest of your life, consider yourself lucky hyung." Alright, maybe Jimin is also talking without thinking. Yoongi hummed, pretending the words didn't make his ears red. In which, Jimin gladly noticed, with his bubbly laughter erupting and echoing the lonesome night in the car. Okay maybe not lonesome, Yoongi love this moment.
"The most beautiful moment in life."
They are on their way to the cheapest motel for one night when Yoongi blurt the words out. Jimin was half asleep when he heard Yoongi mumbles to himself. Rubbing his eyes with one hand, Jimin lean his head on the older's shoulder. "Yeah," he mumbles, unconsciously.
Maybe it was Jimin's feeling only, but he really hope the peck on his head wasn't a dream at all.

"Um, hello. Is anybody home?"
It's eleven in the morning, Yoongi and Jimin standing awkward in front of Yoongi's parents door. With Jimin's eyes still puffy from the lack of sleeping and how his body sways at the cold air before winter, he stand closer toward the older.
"Did you seriously forgot to call your parents first? What if they went for grocery shopping or went out visiting their relatives?" Jimin nags— well more like whining because it seems Yoongi didn't plan well this whole thing. Truly a rushed vacation indeed.
Yoongi was to open his mouth when the door opened from inside and an old woman, with the identical features like Yoongi, greet them with a huge gummy smile. Jimin almost melt into pudding once the old woman reach out to hug Yoongi.
"I miss my beautiful son, I miss seeing you in front of me," the old woman spoke up first. Still treading Yoongi in her embrace while she mutters more lovely words, caressing Yoongi's hair as she praise how good looking her son are. Jimin might have agree at every words she said.
"M-mom, I miss you too. But tone it down please, Jimin is watching us!" Yoongi whined when he realized there's someone's else too here but his hands still hugging his mom tight, only turning his head toward the giddy Jimin behind him.
"Greeting, Mrs. Min. I'm P–"
"Oh-oh.. Park Jimin-ssi, welcome welcome. I have finally met you, you look like just how my son described you as. Pretty and heartwarming."
Yoongi cringed and quickly let go the hug while he cover his eyes with his hands as Jimin laugh into Mrs. Min embrace. He's hugging her comfortably while she calls him pretty boy. Jimin wouldn't lie, he love it when people acknowledged him as pretty boy. When Yoongi know he's a pretty boy. He's smiling so hard his eyes disappeared and Yoongi feel another ache in his heart.
"Your dad is preparing the food and I was helping him before and the bell has malfunctioned, we didn't know you guys were here until the knocking," she explained, pulling both Yoongi and Jimin inside. Her warm greetings make Jimin's heart flutter, she radiates Hoseok's energy toward new people. Jimin couldn't say it to Yoongi how he likes it here already and he's thinking of having vacation at Daegu instead.
Jimin greeted Yoongi's dad with all the extra awkwardness because the old man seems very suspicious of him and he doesn't want that. He's not here to steal their property, he swear!
Mr. Min asked him about how long has it been since he knew Yoongi and Jimin truthfully answered him. Mr. Min asked him if he ever make Yoongi sad, and Jimin swear on God's name he has never make the older sad ever. Mr. Min asked him if he trust Yoongi so much to bring him everywhere and Jimin's answer caused everyone froze in their seats.
"I trust him with my life. He wouldn't lie to me and I would never break the honesty either. That's why when he said he want to go for a long holiday, I decided to come with him. I want to be there for him when he needs me, I will give him my everything. I want us to be each other home."
Jimin know he fucked up the moment he said his first sentence but he believe that Yoongi won't feel weird about it. He finally said what he has always wanted to say, and to open up in front of his parents, that's even better. The family trust is a must!
"Son, you should say your vow on you guys wedding, not on the dining table. Don't be so serious, I was just playing with you because you seems so tense with me," Mr. Min said, scratching his nose to stop himself from laughing, it's not working though. The husband and wife laughed while Yoongi hide himself (again) with his hands and Jimin look away, anywhere but Yoongi's parents who sit in front of him!
The embarrassing moment went over quickly and the next thing, they're back to chatting and laughing and Jimin feels content. Yoongi who sit next to him, seems to be enjoying himself a lot too, he isn't laughing out loud but his smile is still there.
Although Jimin see all the sadness that is hiding under the facade of happiness.
Min Yoongi, what happened to you?
