» But we both found each other tonight, tonight (Oh yeah)
So if love is nothing more than just a waste of your time
Waste it on me, waste it on me «♠ ♠ ♠
Although they are walking side by side, nobody even try to find a way to start up conversation. It's almost midnight and both has agreed before coming to the bar that they would watch the lantern festival.
No one would expect the situation will turn out as awkward and uncomfortable like this. They had their laughter before going to the club but now Jimin is silently playing with his jacket button, Yoongi says nothing. The road they're walking in are bustling with people, it's lively right now as it is at the morning.
But it's silent between them.
God, Yoongi hate it so much when Jimin isn't talking, or giggling or just beaming at whatever he find amazing. He's used to Jimin's cute voice, either talking to himself or when he called him Yoongi without honorific. It's so weird. He thinks this is his fault. Which, entirely, right. He's always at wrong, whatever decisions he takes, it's always wrong and up to no good. He's utter disappointment. Yoongi gritted his teeth.
Jimin head turned to him.
"There's a lot of people selling lanterns..." Jimin looked shy as he muttered the words. His cheeks red, perhaps because of the alcohol? Yoongi feel himself blushing too.
Why are they so bad at this, at their own term of relationship. They were supposed to be the closest in the group.
"Y-you want?" Yoongi feel like a dumb highschooler.
Jimin nods slightly but he's blushing and when he blush, he also tend to smile and Yoongi love the sight of it. This it it, the cutest person he has ever been with. This is whom he's used to. Rosey cheeks and little giggles. Oh my God.
"I.. I buy." Oh my God, Yoongi knew he sounded so dumb. That's why he walk fast at the stall that has lots of lantern hanging on it's roof. Jimin follow behind and he's still blushing.
"Greeting, uh, how much does one lantern cost?" Yoongi said, bowing when the owner come at their presence.
"Its 700 won only, but this one is for couple in love," The shop owner beams, showing Jimin the words written on the lantern.
"I love you forevermore and I wish I am too for you."
Jimin and Yoongi doesn't know each other reaction as they both look away but the shop owner only raise her eyebrow.
"You guys can have this, the prize are the same," The lady show Yoongi the lantern she took from the roof. It's color is peach and it's pretty. It caught Jimin attention too the first time he saw the stall.
"Together is Forever."
And if the shop owner notices how blushing Jimin was when Yoongi paid the lantern, she only smiles and nods, wishing them a happy night.
"They'll be launching the lantern by the bridge over there. Let's go get our spot before it become more crowded?" Yoongi manage to keep his calm state after watching Jimin holding the lantern dearly. The younger eagerly nods when Yoongi grab his waist and they're walking fast toward the bridge.
11:50 PM.
Everyone has started moving toward the bridge and suddenly people are pressing and shoulders brushing as they rush over. Jimin keep fumbling but Yoongi hold him closer and they giggles because Yoongi nags at how clumsy Jimin is. They walk on the bridge and stand next to the rails, the river under arch bridge look so beautiful under the warm moonlight and Yoongi already misses the feeling.
"It's nice that we got to buy lantern too, look at these people!" Jimin is high spirited at the scene before him, he's still holding onto the lantern and Yoongi calls his name softly.
"We need to light up the lantern in order for it to float in the sky," Yoongi said. He saw the way Jimin's eyes widen and a visible frown on his face when Yoongi took out the wooden lighter they had bought at the lantern stall.
"I really like the lantern," Jimin mumbles. Ah the classic Jimin, Yoongi thought. Their friends has known Jimin for his emotional attachment toward non-living things.
"Good thing need to be let go, right?" Yoongi whispers, giving back the lantern to Jimin.
Jimin was about to add more into his whining but the people around them start making noises and Yoongi pointed that people are launching their lantern. Jimin seems nervous. He looks around, but he feels content.
Right... good thing need to be let go.
Jimin smile widely as he lift his lantern and let go of it. His eyes sparkling as his lantern along the others, start lighting up the sky. Floating around looking like bits of stars surrounding the huge, bright moon.
Jimin feel a little too much emotion because he can hear laughter everywhere, and when he look down there's more lantern floating on the water, it looks surreal. It likes a scene from movie too. Jimin knew he has tears flooding in his eyes right now. He's overwhelmed.
He tries reading other quotes on lanterns that passed by him, he found a cute one that says to believe in feelings. Jimin liked that quote, he made a mental promise to write it later in his phone.
His eyes remain sparkling as he look up once again, it's truly is beautiful and he's glad he can witness this. He's glad he's with Yoongi and they both are watching it together.
Right, Yoongi.
Jimin turn his head and found Yoongi is staring at him with a sad smile. Pulling him closer, hands on each side of his face.
A lips so warm, softly pressed on his forehead.
