Y/N's army waited impatiently as Y/N walked back and forth, pondering how he would get back to his world.
"Hm..
....
....surely the portals are made of magic, right? They're not normal.."
"But then, what kind of mage could cast something so powerful..I don't even know anything about magic in the first place!"
One of Y/N's troops spoke up. "Um, sir, there is one place that we could try..."
"And where could that be?"
"I hear of a dark place on the outskirts of Piltover. A large cave shaped like a skull with bats flying out of it...we call it the Cursed Cove. Anyone one who ventures to it, we've never heard from again..."
"..."
"And you're certain this might be the answer?"
"There is talk of an ancient clan of mages who practice a lost form of magic there. It is but a rumour, we don't know if it is true."
"I want to say no. I know I promised riches for everyone here, but not at the cost of death."
Another soldier stepped in.
"Money, in this world, is a reward no man cannot risk their lives over. I will ask men to gather horses for us."
"But-!"
"But nothing. You promised us riches beyond our wildest dreams. We will do our part."
A battle cry followed this statement from the men in the back. Y/N had an anxious look on his face, unsure of the decision he had made to round up such men. He could only wait for the horse drawn carriages to mobilise, and for this mess of an adventure to end eventually.
Meanwhile...
The group of 4 that originally set out to find their friend were currently drinking themselves deep, sharing pints of honey mead at Teemo's favourite local bar in Bandle City.
"We usually don't welcome visitors that often besides traders and nomads and such, but you 4 are an interesting bunch." Teemo said, swinging another pint for a glug down his throat.
The atmosphere was how you expected a bar to be. Loud music, dim lighting, smoke from cigarettes, drunken men fighting, drunken men catcalling feasible looking women, maybe even the odd lone person, having a warm dinner. It was pretty normal, despite them all being 5 foot Yordles.
Marco was dragging Fionn to the bed and breakfast that they were staying at, seeming as Fionn was never really good with drink. Sarah and Judy decided to try and find out more about the world of Bandle City, enjoying light food and drink with Teemo.
"I never thought I'd actually see a place like this, it's surreal.." Judy said, still taking in the sight of the medival style city from the window by them. It was evening now, and fireflies lit up the night sky as people socialized and partied.
"Things were not always great here.." Teemo said, his cheerful tone slightly fading. "We had a war, countless of our people gone, the sacrifices made to build up such a home. We lost a lot of good men. That's why we're so xenophobic towards outsiders."
"I completely understand. I feel out of place. We all out of place. We don't belong here. We're just trying to get back home.." Sarah explained.
"The friend we're looking for.. He came to this world probably lost and scared, and we're here in a bar drinking.."
"Don't worry. Things no matter how tough, always work out in the end."
Sarah smiled a little at Teemo's reassurance.
"Tell you what. There's a place I know by Piltover, it's home to supposedly a clan of dangerous mages who research scientific magic. I have a Yordle friend named Heimerdinger there, I'm sure if I come with you, they'll help you out with whatever you need."
"Did..did you say dangerous?" Judy cut in.
"Yeah, I don't beat around the bush. They take being introvert to the extreme. They are apparently an 'organisation for the research and development of magic'. They are known as Magik to some who have been lucky enough to escape their grasp. They're rumoured to be a terrorist organisation who kidnap people of high intelligence, but that's like I said, a rumour."
"It might be the only shot we've got..." said Sarah.
"Tommorow morning, if your other friends agree, I can show you the way."
