As Veigar and his colleagues kept chanting away conjuring up a portal for Y/N, Y/N himself ended up losing concentration for the performance of the spell. Luckily, he was able to slip away from the group as the wizards got lost in thought, intensively chanting the rites of the spell.

He started exploring the mini-city that had been built up in this cave, a corbelled roof holding up the structure with cobblestone paths and shelves upon shelves of worn wooden bookcases that looked like they stood the test of time to act as pseudo-corridors.

Wow...look at all this stuff.. Y/N thought to himself in awe. He never thought in all his life he would ever get to witness such a ominous but melancholy place. His former child self would have soiled himself if he ever knew this would happen to him. Well, until a sound in his backpack stirred him back into reality.

Jay, cooing from a slow and gentle wake up from his sleep inside the backpack Y/N had neatly decked out for the safety of a babies travel, had begun to regain consciousness from the powers he used on the policewomen brutailizing Y/N in what seems like days ago but actually only hours.

Y/N didn't know whether or not to keep calm or panic. "Uh..hi..there..Jay, sleep well?" He stammered out quietly. Jay peered around his surroundings, not sure of what was around him. A quick change of his facial expression showed that he was amused at the books and potions around him. He begun laughing, reaching out to grab one of the glowing potions inside a beaker.

Y/N cut in on Jay's attemps to take the beakers before he could make a mess. "No, no, now Jay. You can't do that around here." Jay's face was prepared to burst out into a fury of tears any second, moans seeping out of his mouth and waterworks welling up on the lips of his eyelids.

"W-w-wait! Don't, please no! I can't have this right now you'll let Veigar know I ran off!" Y/N was flustered, trying to calm Jay down. Shit, this isn't going to end well.. He thought.

Just then, a rumble whooshed through the floor. "What the-!" Y/N exclaimed. Jay stopped his attempt to cry. "Little guy? You felt that?" Y/N asked his little hybrid son. "Mm!" A cute nod and sound of acknowledgement from Jay as a reply. Jay, being a hybrid and all, probably has accelerated intelligence from being a cross species. He takes the best from both worlds.

The rumbles became frequent and loud voices could be heard from the entrance. Y/N couldn't put his finger on what was up, but he knew it was something bad. He looked around the bookcases. 'Fire Spell.' 'Lighting Spell.' 'Spell of Cloaking.' All these small little glowing jars of liquid were useful to Y/N.

He began taking as many random jars as possible and handing them to Jay or either stuffing them in other compartments of the bag. "It looks like things might be about to get rough little guy." Soon, the rumbling was happening enough to alert all the other wizards in the cave. They made their way to Veigar to interrupt the ritual but it was too late. Purple lighting began crackling all throughout the cave, a splendor and dance of light. The portal opening was a success.

As the ritual came to a climax, a wall by the entrance crashed open with dust and smoke laying a blanket over the entire area and a sole scream from the smoke;

"For the glory of all of Piltover! For Y/N!"

And screams of bravery came pouring into to the cave. A wizard on Veigars side shouted.

"Heritics! Destroy them!"

And it became all out war. Flashes of purple light screaming across the cave, towers upon towers of bookcases falling and crashing down to assume as new places of cover from the assault of wizardry fire, soldiers stabbing whatever was in sight. Veigar and his colleagues were nowhere to be found in the calamity. Y/N ducked into a corner by the far end of the cave.

You could barely hear anything over sound of war. What! My 'army'? What are they doing!? Why are they attacking!? Before Y/N could come to a conclusion of his thoughts, an explosion smack bang in front of him from a stray blast of magic hit him. He was tossed aside into a row of tables separated from Jay still inside the backpack. "Jay!" He shouted. Y/N went prone and immediately started hustling for the backpack. He was going to get his son at all costs.

Suddenly, a purple aura surrounded Jay and the backpack. No! Y/N thought for the worst. Until, the backpack floated toward him. He checked left and right, wondering how this was possible.

"Hey! Over here!" Veigar shouted nearby stuck in a pile of furniture. His robes were all cut up but not to an extent and their was minor cuts bleeding from his face. "Veigar! You're alright!" Y/N said, grabbing Jay and the backpack out of harm's way.

"Don't worry about me you imbecile! What are your men doing here!? Why are they invading!" Veigar angrily shouted.

"I-I don't know! They just busted in here guns- well swords, blazing! You tell me!"

Veigar cursed under his breath. "Nevermind the portal, we need to escape here. Help me up this instant!"
Y/N protested. "But the portal is open, I need to get home!"

"Nevermind getting home! Do you want to live? That portal could be destroyed in the clash between your army and my colleagues, and you could be stuck in the middle of war!"

"But-!"

"But nothing! Help me up now! We need to leave!"

"..."

"What are you waiting for!?"

"Alright. But promise me something."

"Promise you what!? I don't make any promises."

Y/N handed Veigar the backpack with Jay inside it, with a worried look on his face at his father's now pensive expression.

"Promise me Jay will be alright with you. Stay here."

"What!? Hey- wait! Come back!"
