When I was a little girl I played doctor while all the other little girls played princess. So It was no surprise when I decided to go to medical school to become a surgeon It was no surprise. Fast forward a couple years and I'm about to start my first day at Seattle Grace as an Intern. So here I am standing outside of a huge hospital trying to prepare myself for the next 48 hours.

----

I follow doctor Webber around Seattle Grace as he tells us that we are the doctors now and our chances of really becoming a surgeon at Seattle Grace. He tells us to look around at our competition. A majority of the faces were familiar from the mixer we all attended a week ago.

But I'm more interested in the actual OR, then the people I'm going to share my intern year with. The smell of disinfectant and alcohol. I had seen an OR before, even been in one but this time it felt different.

To say I was excited would be the understatement of the century. I knew I would most likely be doing scut and running labs, since I was just an intern. But i was still excited as I listened to my new boss talk about what would be the worst and the best years of my life.

----

We are all crowed in the smelly locker room as we try to get ready. Over all the commotion people keep coming in and out shouting names for residents. I already knew I had the bailey or whoever everyone likes to call the Nazi.

Just a few minutes later someone comes in and calls my name along with a few other people.

"O'Malley, Yang, Grey, Stevens, and Miller" A man calls out standing at the door. I take a look around my group, noticing there were only four of us.

The man directs us down the hall to a short women with a impatient look on her face filling out some kind of paperwork.

We all take a moment shocked by who the Nazi is VS. what we imagined her to be. "That's the Nazi?" a women with curly black hair told us. "I thought the Nazi would be a guy" A guy with shaggy brown hair told the rest of us  "and taller" I added earning a nod from the two who had just spoken. "I thought the Nazi would be a Nazi" a women with dirty blonde hair confessed.

A tall blonde walked up next to us all looking perky and eager. " Maybe its professional jealousy, maybe she's brilliant, and they call her the Nazi because they are jealous. maybe she's nice" the tall blonde said as she sped past all of us to the front of the small group of us. She had to be the model I thought to myself. She looked like she just walked out of a magazine.

"Let me guess your the model." The girl with curly hair said voicing my thoughts which undoubtedly earned her a glare from the blonde. The model walked up to bailey with her hand extended gesturing a handshake with a bright smile as she introduced herself as Isobel Steven's but stating everyone calls her Izzie. Bailey just gave her an unimpressed look .

Bailey looked passed Izzie to all of us " I have five rules memorize them. Rule number one don't bother sucking up I already hate you that's not gonna change." and suddenly we all understood why they called her the Nazi. she gave us all trauma protocol, phone lists and pagers which lead to our next rule. Answer every page at a run. she informs us about how we are the bottom of the surgical food chain. we run labs write orders work every second night until we drop and we don't complain, reminding us all how rough this job will be.
