Not many know how the Storytellers gained their powers. Speculations over the past two centuries, following the demise of the Lost Kingdoms, had been made of course. Some believed that the Storytellers were knights, who sold their souls and became keepers of the people's history. Others revered them as gods and in some cities around the capital, temples had risen.
And then there were the few who claimed that they were demons, who stole the power from the kings and used the people of the kingdom for their own sick amusement.
One truth was universal though.
No one could easily escape their Role.
