Amber's POV
What is going on? Jasper and Elizabeth left to look for Jade and Althea who just moments ago, ran out screaming and crying. "What do think is going on?", Jasmine asks me. "I'm not sure", I reply.
"She looked so hurt, I wonder what happened", she says. I nod, "They both did". Soon enough Elizabeth and Jasper return. "We couldn't find them, any ideas?", Jasper asks. "No, they wouldn't answer their phones when we called", I say.
We stay in the room, trying to contact either of them for awhile. After half an hour Jade comes back with swollen, red eyes. "What the fuck was that about!?", Jasper yells. "Where's Althea?", I ask. Jade shakes her head, "I lost her........again", she says.
We wait for her to continue. She rolls up her sleeve and shows it to us revealing her crescent moon and wings soul charm. "I'm Althea's soul mate", she sobs. We look at each other shocked and confused. "Your soul charms didn't glow", I say.
"It only glows the first time. I met Althea 3 years ago", she says sitting down. She takes a moment to breathe before speaking again. "I fucked up. I fucked up so badly", she says as more tears fall down her cheeks. "What happened?", I ask.
She sniffles, "I don't think I should be the one to tell you. I shouldn't be asking for favours but could the 2 of you please find her. I'm worried something will happen to her. She doesn't think straight when she's pissed. Please, I need someone to look for her", she says.
"We'll go but just so you know. Althea hates the very idea of soulmates. Whatever you did, broke her. This explains why she changed", Lizzy says. "I can't believe we didn't know, 3 years?", I say. "Come on let's go find her", Liz says. We say goodbye to our soulmates and assure them that we'll contact them soon.
Althea left my car here so we get in and drive to school. We pull up and head to the gym. Nearing the door we can already hear how hard she's hitting the punching bag. "FUCK!!", Lizzy yells and starts to run. We run in finding Althea kicking the bag. "Althea stop!!! You're going to bust your foot more!!", Lizzy screams trying to get her to listen.
I yank her away before she makes herself crippled. Falling to the floor Althea pulls her knees to her face and cries harder. Elizabeth and I sit with her and try to comfort her as best as we could. We stay like this until Althea's ready. The sun starts to rise and the light shines softly around the room.
Althea's cries turn to hiccups and she lifts her head. "Thanks guys", she whispers. She sniffles before getting up and sitting on the bench. We get up and sit with her in the middle. "I guess, I gotta explain", she says. I rub her back telling her to take her time.
Althea's POV
My head hurts from crying so much. I never wanted to see her again and now here she is. "Remember 3 years ago when I went to Spain for the summer to visit my grandma?", I ask and they nod. "Well I met her there. We were at this, kind of, beach bar when I made eye contact with her and our soul charms glowed. The entire bar cheered for us and the manager gave us free drinks. I was under 18 at the time so I got a smoothie".
"We had fun together that day. I never laughed so much in my life and I just adored her beauty and her voice was so mesmerizing. We both shared a love for music so we spent the night singing for each other. I finally found my soulmate and she was amazing. It was amazing."
"We spent a lot of time together after that. Every day we'd go out and do something together. For that whole month, I was happy. I didn't tell you guys cause I wanted to tell you in person but then".
I sigh and steady myself before continuing. "On the last week, we decided we wanted to spend every last moment together before I leave. So we stayed in a hotel room, my grandma was okay with it. She understood my need to spend time with my soulmate. Everything was fine the first few days but then one of the nights she got a little drunk and tried to make a move on me".
"She tried to but I wasn't ready for that. I was 15 and not mentally stable. She just turned 18 at the time. I didn't stop it at first, we were making out and I liked the contact so I let her continue. It was only when she began to move my panties that I stopped it".
"She tried to convince me and continue to do what she was doing. She kept going and only stopped when I pushed her off. She stopped, realizing what she was doing and quickly apologized. I told her that I wanted to wait and I wasn't ready. She agreed and apologized again. I fell asleep soon after that"
"But that's not what set me off. The next day was fine, she apologized again for what she did the night before and I said it's fine as long as she gives me time. We went about our day as normal. Having fun and laughing together. That day was the last."
"We went to a beach party that night. We danced together while she drank again. After awhile she needed to sit down and told me to keep having fun. I saw people were having a volleyball competition so I joined in. Afterwards I walked back to the bar and looked for her and she wasn't there. I asked a few people if they saw the girl I was with".
"They pointed out the direction of where she went. I kept going in that direction until I came to a secluded part of the beach. Only to find her naked with another girl".
Flashback
"Great. Fucking great!!", I yell. She turns around startled. "Fuck Althea", she says pushing the girl off her. "I tell you I need time and you decide to go off with another girl!! What because I won't give you what you want, you find it with someone else!! Is that all you wanted from me!?"
"No!! Althea I want you for way more than that, I just...I", she stutters not being able to give me a good excuse. "Want sex more than you want me", I say. "No!! I want you more than anything", she tries to come closer but I back up."Don't give me that bullshit, is that me you're fucking on the ground huh!!?", I yell.
"I was thinking of you the whole time. Drinking gets me extremely horny and I don't think straight, I didn't want to push myself on you again and make you uncomfortable", she says. I can see tears forming in her eyes.
"Right, so this was the better option? Why didn't you just, I don't know. NOT DRINK!?", I yell getting more pissed off. She fidgets around not knowing what to say. Her tears start to fall down her cheeks but I really couldn't care less.
"Well it's a good thing I'm leaving soon, I don't want to see you again. Don't bother trying to call me", I sprint away from there, ignoring her when she screams for me.
