"It's show time" Adam told himself.
He started the car and moved out of the parking lot. At the entrance to the mall, Adam saw a lady coming out. She stood still, as if waiting for someone.

Not that there were no other girls in the perimeter or in his life, there was something about the girl that scintillated the mind of Adam.

No, it wasn't because she is beautiful - there are too many beautiful girls in Kano. It wasn't because she is light skinned, nor was it because of her metrics.

Adam stopped the car so he could think clearly but his brain had never been that congested. And he stopped at a point where cars are not parked. He was looking at her while she was busy on her phone, smiling.

Adam had been trying all his life not to go into any girl-boy relationship until when he is fully ripe. But at that very instant, he thought he had been missing this particular girl all his life.

"Go talk to her" his inner voice said to him. He had never wooed a girl. This is a one time opportunity and he considered the possibility of success.

When Adam placed his hand on the door handle, ready to go and meet her, his heartbeat doubled...sorry, tripled. He suddenly felt butterflies in his stomach...and then scorpions, and maybe crocodiles. He could hear his heartbeat louder than the music from the stereo in the car.

Oh boy, is this what it feels like talking to a girl?

Adam realized this isn't his area of expertise and as such he must learn from the experienced ones. Problem is, if he let this girl go, he may not see her again for the rest of his life and he was very sure her thought will hunt him for only-God-knows-when. All of these thoughts were coming to his mind like bullets shot from an M249 Squad Automatic weapon.

But he had seized hundreds of opportunities in his life, he promised not to let this go. So Adam became determined to talk to the girl before whoever she is waiting for joined her.

She was standing just close to the place where window shoppers sit. It's a place just outside the entrance to the mall where guys sit to look at people that are coming out and going in. Adam himself had sat there several times to choose a victim.

If he decides to talk to her in their presence, everyone's attention will be on them and that will definitely unsettle him, not until he becomes an expert in talking girls out -something he plans on doing as soon as possible.

As usual, an idea came to him. He grabbed a paper and from the pigeon hole of the car, he was lucky to find a pen. On the paper, he wrote:

Hello my name is Adam.
I have an information you'll love to hear.
Problem is I'm in a hurry and you're not alone.
Below is my phone number, call me tomorrow in the morning.
08036970174

Thank you.

Just when he was done writing, there was a knock on the door. Adam rolled down the glass. It was a uniformed security officer "sir you can't park here, please keep moving and if you want to park, go over there"

Adam apologized. "Oh my God, am very sorry officer, I need only to give this paper to that lady"

"Oh give it to me, I'll help you do that" the officer gestured.

"No officer, I'm giving her myself" Adam was already out. "I'm sorry, just a minute".

As Adam guessed, the attention of all the guys and the girls around was on him except the very person that had caused the drama.

As he walked up to her, his mind was thrumming harder but he had started, he wouldn't stop. He refused to make eye contact with all the people looking at him.
