Adam was listening as his letter was being read. His heart was pounding as the presenter read the letter with a sonorous voice that's filled with too much excitement. He could feel his body temperature rising. The game has started.

His phone rang, disrupting his thought. It was Abubakar.

"Hello"

"Hello, Abubakar"

"Adam, is that your letter."

"Yes it's mine."

"You're hell bent on this right"

"Yes I am"

"So how do you think you going to pull it off after calling the attention of the police and everyone?"

"Honestly, I don't know. But the game has already started"

"You're surely getting caught this time I'm afraid"

"Wouldn't be a problem for me. I'm sure they wouldn't kill me. I've stated that I'm doing it for the last time."

"What will you do with a hundred phones? If you are successful"

"I don't know. Will think about it"

"Well, wish you luck on it."

"Thank you. Goodnight..... but wait, Abubakar I might need some help."

"What kind of help?"

"I don't know... but I know this can't be a solo job."

"Well, if it wouldn't get me in trouble, I might oblige. When you are done doing your thinking...you let me know."

"Okay. Thank you Abubakar... goodnight"

"Goodnight."

Adam lay in his bed trying to think of how to start the following day. Then he thought of Fatima, and then of his sister and family. It will be a hard blow on their faces if they ever find out that he's a con artist. Ain't no going back. Adam finally slept after spending hours thinking fruitlessly.

#Day 1

At 7:00am the program was repeated. Adam listened again. His body was cold. Fear was trying to seep into his mind. He reassured himself that he will do it even if he is going to be caught. Fear is more often than less the cause of failure. Adam had to take sometime to meditate in other to conquer his fears.

He decided to start from Farm Center phone village. It will be easy for him to steal any number of phones there but his pockets must not carry anything more than 5 phones at a time. Adam tried hard to bring up plans but his brain was not cooperating so he gave up trying. Instead, he worked hard to fight his fears. He decided the time to go out should be in the afternoon when everything is slack and the market is hot - everyone is busy. However, for the mean time, he decided to keep listening to the radio just in case something may be said about him.

It was however not surprising to him when the Kano state police public relations officer made an announcement and as should be expected, Adam was sternly warned and advised to refrain from doing what he said he will do. Moreover, the officer warned that should Adam be caught, the law will face him with tremendous consequences. But Adam had decided not to get caught so the warning wouldn't make him cringe. He rolled to his other side and continued listening.

The time is 11:45am and time to set off. Adam took from his money N50,000 because he might have to buy an opportunity. With his earpiece plugged to one ear, he went out wearing one of his best set of clothes. If thieves can be caught from their mode of dressing, chances of Adam being caught are almost 0 out of a thousand.
