Tonight was game night for all of Wolfpine and most of the shops closed early to support the students of Wolfpine High. The only places open were restaurants who would get an influx of hungry customers looking to hang out together after the game was over.
Shiloh sat in the parking lot of the school with his younger brother Carter and his best friend Alex Bordeaux. Carter sat in the back seat of Alex's car texting up a storm while Alex turned down the music that was playing.
"Okay boys," Alex started with a mischievous smirk on his face, "there's definitely going to be an after party whether we lose or not, so prepare your stomachs cause we are drinking tonight!"
Alex was a tall boy with blonde hair and brown eyes and a baby face that made the girls swoon over him.
He was quite popular even though he wasn't on a sports team and was considered a stoner to most. The reason he was so popular was because he was quite handsome and had a charming personality that drew people in. Also, being the class clown boosted him up the Wolfpine High School social ladder.
Everyone wanted to be friends with the hot funny kid.
Carter was a year younger than Shiloh and Alex sitting at 17 years old. He got his looks from his father with his black curly hair and green eyes. While Shiloh had more feminine features Carter had a mix of masculine and feminine features that confused people who tried to figure out if he was a boy or a really tall girl.
He towered over his older brother standing an inch shorter than Alex at exactly 6 feet. Carter was popular in his own way. He was a likable junior who had the brooding teenage angst aura that freshmen girls flocked to because they wanted to 'fix' him with their love, however Carter was only interested in one person but didn't bother trying to go for them.
"Do we seriously have to go to the after party?" Carter asked, turning off his phone and ignoring whoever was sending him text messages.
"Of course man," Alex said smiling at the younger boy who averted his gaze, "I mean, I could just drop you off home after the game."
The idea of staying home with his parents didn't appeal to Carter as he sighed in annoyance before asking, "Who's DD then?" Carter looked down at his vibrating phone, when no one replied he looked up meeting Alex and Shiloh's eyes.
"Great." The teen said before opening the door to Alex's new deep green Jeep Wrangler. The sound of the doors closing behind him signified the older boys also got out.
"C'mon, you know how it is," Alex said, swinging his arm around Carter's shoulder, "this is what happens when you decide to get a license."
Shiloh chuckled to himself a little bit seeing how annoyed Carter was with the idea of being designated driver for the night.
When the trio of boys got closer to the football field they could hear and feel the excited energy as parents excitedly took pictures and chatted among themselves waiting for the game to start. Cheering could be heard as students and parents already seated in the bleachers chanted and sang the school anthem.
Carter broke off from Alex and Shiloh after spotting some friends he knew in the crowd of people. Alex went to get food and drinks so Shiloh decided to go find a good spot for them to sit together.
Shiloh was making his way up the stairs of the bleachers and was able to find a good spot to sit in near a group of girls taking selfies.
As he approached the seats he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine and immediately looked around only seeing happy parents, children and students chattering loudly. The glaring lights above the field and bleachers made it hard for him to see anyone out of the ordinary.
