When Shiloh awoke the room was dark as he stared into the pitch black darkness of the night. The dim light of the moon filtered through the sheer curtains and Shiloh let his eyes adjust to his surroundings.

He wasn't home, the room was far too big and far too expensive looking to be his.

The redhead couldn't stop the burning sensation of tears as he tried to hold back the quiet sobs that vibrated through his body.

He couldn't believe what had just happened hours ago. He couldn't believe the handsome stranger, Jaxson, would kidnap him from his job in the middle of the night. He couldn't believe that of all the people in Wolfpine it had to be him.

Shiloh attempted to bring his hand to his face when he was met with resistance. Looking above his head he saw the dim outline of handcuffs bounding him where he laid. Hot tears poured from his brown eyes at the realization that he was trapped.

Movement beside the redhead startled the boy as he turned to his left and saw the large outline of a man beside him.

He sucked in a gasp as he felt the man's hand fall onto his stomach. Even though it was a light touch it felt heavy like a bag of bricks in Shiloh's stressed mind. Shiloh's breathing started to pick up again as he began to hyperventilate silently into the dark room.

He couldn't handle the situation he was in. He couldn't understand why of all the people in Wolfpine, he would be the one someone would kidnap.

There was nothing special about him, he wasn't filthy rich like most of the residents of Wolfpine. He was just a senior in high school working at Starbucks to save money to get his own car, he came from a middle class family. He did well in school, he was in the top 5 percentage and had applied to a couple out of state universities. He was shorter than most boys and not active in anything in town. He was a nobody.

Shiloh's heart felt heavy as he thought of his parents. How his mother might be feeling knowing he hadn't returned home or how his father might be staying up for when he arrives home so he could chew him out for being out late on a school night.

The thought was enough to almost make him want to laugh. Shiloh always found it so annoying how he'd always get an earful from his dad even though he was already of age. Now moments like that felt like a distant memory in the moment.

He wondered if Carter stayed up waiting for him and if Alex knew what was going on.

It seemed like time stood still for Shiloh as he laid in bed with his captor while the lives of those around him pressed forward.

"You're awake." The deep voice shook Shiloh from his thoughts as he looked towards the large shadow of the man next to him.

He couldn't see his face but he could feel his eyes watching him.

When Shiloh said nothing, Jaxson reached over Shiloh, making the redhead hold his breath as the taller man reached for something in the dark. The dim light of a lamp on the side table flicked on illuminating his half of the large room with a white yellow glow.

Jaxson leaned back looking at Shiloh's damp face as his tears dried. The man couldn't help himself as he gently pressed a thumb under the boy's eyes to wipe away the tear streaks that were being absorbed by his skin.

Shiloh moved away from the touch and looked away from the man. When Jaxson continued wiping at the redhead's cheeks ignoring the fact that Shiloh didn't want to be touched by him.

"It's okay." Jaxson said quietly, making Shiloh glance his way before looking away again, "it will get better, I promise." The two sat in silence for a couple minutes until Shiloh broke the silence with his question of:
