(Sam's POV)

"You are such a buzz kill Sammy, just come with us!" Devyn whisper shouts as her and Elton turn around about to head to the hallway.

"I can't, we haven't even been here for a week. I'm sorry but I'm not gonna be the first one to go against rules," I mumble grabbing a blanket and curling up on the couch in the main hangout down stairs, you can get to pretty much anywhere from this room.

Devyn loudly groans grabbing Eltons arm as they shuffle out. I sigh wanting to go so badly but not wanting to break the only rule I've been given. So with that I grab a random book that was set on the table and get comfortable just wanting to pass time before they get back.

Around an hour later I'm caught off guard when I hear someone clearing their throat behind me. I quickly turn to look behind me seeing Cora there a small smile on her face as she waves. I gulp looking back down to the couch, ever since Devyn has been saying how off Cora feels I've been getting the same feeling. But you know what who am I to question her?

"So I heard about where Selene told you guys to head to," she starts walking over sitting across from me. I gulp not knowing where this is going, I mean how much trouble could we get in? Selene is the one who told us to. And now I sound like a five year old placing blame on others, great.

"And I see you're the only one that didn't go?" She says as if it's a question. I just nod not wanting to get in trouble.

"Well then since you are doing so well with the rules I think it's about time you get to do your first thing as an angel, don't you?" A grin takes over my face at that. I've been wanting to do something so bad everyone else has met with the demons like angels but I haven't done anything yet.

"Well this is usually something we wouldn't let an angel do so soon but I see myself in you so I'm gonna trust you Sam," she gives me warning eyes as if saying don't break her trust.

"Yes of course," I know that I will do my absolute best at this and not let anything get in my way of doing it perfect. She nods and stands waiting for me, I get up and she leads us into the same room Selene put us in when we went to earth. But Cora pushes some button that I didn't realize was on the wall last time, all of the sudden this silver glow comes swirling around me, I just watch is awe as it ends at the top of my head staying to look like a halo for a few seconds before disappearing.

"What- What was that?" I turn to Cora absolutely astonished, she just smiles walking over, she motions to behind me I look at her confused before slowly turning, what I see is a globe with a very young boy playing in a garden but not seeming to be happy, he's sitting there staring at flowers a neutral look on his face, I wouldn't even think a kid so young could look so... numb?

"This little one is Blue his angel has failed him so now he needs a new one," I just watch him a bit longer as he picks at grass but then realizing what she's saying.

"Me? Like you want me to be his guardian angel?" I stare at him in slight fear, what if I fail him too? I have no idea how to be a guardian, what would happen if I failed as an angel?

"Yes, I think you would do amazing at it, you seem to carry this glow to you as if you were just made to fix broken souls, I believe you could do that with many people. And Blue will be a broken soul if he continues on the path his angel left for him."

"Who is his old angel?" I ask wanting to meet the one who got him to this point, he looks to be around three maybe.

"Oh um, that doesn't really matter, anyways, would you like to do this? It is a huge responsibility but also the best kind of one, you would start tomorrow morning." The globe disappears with the picture of the boy. I sigh turning back to her, yes it would be such an honor but could I honestly do it?

"How about this, I will come get you tomorrow and if you would like to do it I will send you to him?" She asks as we walk back to my room. I agree and she wishes me a goodnight before going back to I'm guessing her room.

What did I just get myself into?

"Okay so once you get there just go with your instincts, he won't be able to see you but will in a way hear you, if you see he's about to make some type of terrible choice try and talk him out of it, if he is crying or sad be there for him. It's a pretty easy job when they're so young, just wait till he's a teenager," she smiles waving before I feel that same wave that took us over when we went to earth. Only this time I'm alone and it's scary as hell. Haha hell, that's a odd saying now.

Next thing I know I'm falling onto a soft carpeted floor, ouch. I look around seeing a bed that's to the floor and a room covered in pastel teal things the walls being black, it's actually very pretty with all the plants and vines hanging from the corners of the walls.

But yet the boy is not in here.

"Who the heck are you?" I quickly turn around seeing a very short girl standing there with an eyebrow raised.

"Oh," she laughs. "You must be new at this I'm his demon. You know that whole angel and devil on their shoulder thing? Yeah it's real," she puts her hand to me pulling me up. Cora would send me here knowing that a demon was gonna be here??

"What's your name?" She asks nodding up to me.

"Sam... yours?"

"Tara."
