Chapter 6; Forks High

I walked slowly as my fingers gently brushed the lockers, counting the numbers as I went. I know I must appear weird to everyone around me but I'm a really curious person and I like to feel the history of things, yep I can feel history and see it if I touched a person. A person with ice cold fingers tapped my shoulder, I jumped and looked up into topaz eyes and knew instantly who it is.
"Looking for your locker?" He asks there was a confused look to his eyes, it was Jasper.
"Uh, yeah, who are you? I'm Asher." I say smiling as I continued to walk I know it was brake but I want to put my books away.
" I'm Jasper Hale. It's nice to meet you new girl. What's your locker number? " His Texas accented voice asks, I smiled and stopped at number 357 opening it and placing my morning books in it.
"Apparently this one. By the way, where's the cafeteria? I'm kinda lost." I say grinning from ear to ear. He chuckled and shook his head walking in the opposite direction I ran forward to catch up with his long legs.
"Don't you have a map?" He asks.
"Oh, I gave it to Isa since I wanted to explore instead of reading a boring old map." I say cheerfully. He shook his head and we stopped in front of the Cafeteria doors.
"Here you go,see you around Asher." Jasper says walking away,I bobbed my head in response and walked in looking around. There she is! Bella stood in tow to who I assume is Jessica I rushed over and picked up an apple and juice since I wasn't that hungry.
"Isa!"  I squealed and walked beside her, her cheeks instantly turned a shade Pinker.

What?

She asks mentally,I can read her mind and she knows that,she can communicate with me because I taught her how to use telepathy it just doesn't work with anyone else though.

Are ya excited?! You already made a new friend and boys are groveling for you.

No way! You know I don't like attention let alone being in a huge crowd!

Indeed but come on it's still fun to be around so many new people,you don't know what strange things could happen and you don't know what will happen either!

I squealed she rolled her eyes as we sat down next to Jessica and the rest of the group. We kept on talking to each other nodding to the other or shaking our heads to questions directed to us.

"Who are they?" Bella asks catching my attention. I blinked and looked up. It's Alice, Jasper and Edward along with three others,wait three? I stared in confusion. Edward turned his head and met my eyes briefly his eyes flashing with recognition. Then he turned his head to stare at Bella briefly as his eyes widen in shock before he looked away all this happened in a split second, unfortunately I saw so I know he knows now that I'm slightly different. I tilted my head studying him,the other boy. He had fair blonde hair and soft eyes.

"Oh,those are the Cullen's and Hales. The two boys who came in late are Carlisle and Edward Cullen,twins and their single,though they don't look alike their almost the same. But don't go after either they think their to good for anyone here." Jessica began. My eyes widen in horror as the spirits sang a song I hoped I wouldn't hear for a year at least.
Shit,it seems I have two mates.
I thought bitterly, luckily the spirits covered it up.
"Don't worry we weren't thinking about that." Says Bella.
Yeah right. Your practically drooling.

I rolled my eyes as I thought that. Edward spoke up and the entire group burst out in laughter attaining the attention of the entire cafeteria.
"Any who, Carlisle already has a job, he works on weekends at the Hospital. Next up it the short girl, her name's Alice Cullen she and Jasper are going out, the one with the look of boredom on his face-" I cut Jess off.
" He doesn't look bored he looks like he's out of it. And by the way why the hell are you so obsessed with them? Their just normal pretty people who just so happen to be in our school. " I pointed out frowning at Jess giving her a suspicious glare. She blushed several shades of red and looked away.
"Their just weird-"
"Oh, God. You liked one of them!" I gasped and covered my lips trying not to laugh, she says their weird but she's even weirder! Chuckles erupted from the Cullen table, my head snapped up and I stared into topaz eyes that made my heart skip a beat, stupid hormones.
"No I didn't! Any how, the big guys Emmet and the strawberry blonde is Rosalie. Their together as well." Jessica says blushing even more. I grinned and looked over the group of Cullen's and Hale's, okay Emmet actually looks like a nightclub bouncer. My eyes briefly met his, before I turned to Isa who took sneaky glances at the table. I nudged her grinning.
"Stop staring, you're drooling." I teased her. Her hand shot up to her mouth before she glared at me. I giggled.
"It's cute though." I say snickering.
"I won't allow you to fix my car." She hissed.
"Oh, then I'll walk to school from now on and back home too. " I say smiling brightly. She paled.
"... Fine." She grumbled knowing that I would really walk if I didn't get to fix her classy truck, as she had so sweetly put it. I ate my apple and stood up.
"I'll see ya in History at the end of the day." I say and walked off drinking the little juice that was left and throwing the core and box of the reminder of my lunch away. Alice followed suit and skipped up to join me.
"How's your first day of school going?" She asks smiling as brightly as I do.
" Great, by the way your boyfriend is really nice, ya know that right?" I ask her as we entered the hallway.
" I know! I heard he showed you around I'm so happy you didn't get lost." She said gliding gracefully beside me.
" Do you like ballai or something?" I ask her eyeing her feet, she chuckled and shook her head.
"Ah, what a shame and here I thought I found my dance partner." I say as we continued to walk. She laughed her voice like bells dancing around the empty hall ways.
"What do you have next?" Alice asks placing her arms behind her.
" Medical sciences, I want to be able to help the weak one day." I said smiling. Alice grinned she was up to something.
"Why are you smiling like that?" I ask her narrowing my eyes.
" Ah, nothing much it's just my brother takes medical sciences and has this class next."  She says smiling evily. My heart skipped several beats as my face slightly paled and brightened a rosy red.
"He looks like he's 29." I grumbled, she paused and looked at me as if I'm a freak coming from a vampire it sure as hell creeped me out to no end.
"Yeah, he gets that a lot." She says nodding her head as we stopped in front of a door that smelled slightly of disinfectant.
"This is it. See you later." She says and walked away. I shrugged my shoulders and entered the class finding the teacher to be here. She smiled happily at me.
"You must be Asher Snow. Come sit here. Your mother and I are friends." She says and patted the chair besides her, I plopped down and spun on my seat smiling brightly at the woman. She smiled right back.
"She's unfortunately a police officer, deputy at that too. Her niece told me you like medical science and that I'd probably find you in my class so when I found out she was right I was really happy." The teacher says.
" Really? Are you and my mom that close?" I ask her tilting my head, she nodded hers and held her hand out and light sparked from her.
"I'm a magician just like you two, though I use my elements to heal people. " She says, I straightened my eyes wide.
" Wait, you guys have magic too? I thought I was the only one! Hey what elements does my mother have and what do you have? " I ask excited.
She laughed heartily.
" I have light and darkness magic, your mother has teleportation, night vision and light magic. It's rare for a magician to have more than two elements so you must have about three as well, correct? " She asks I shifted and shook my head.
" I don't have three elements." I say honestly.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I thought.... I wasn't thinking." She says bowing her head. I rolled my eyes smiling.
" It's not necessary to apologise. I don't really mind." Cue the bell. "Where do I sit? " I ask her.
" We'll see." She says. Soon the class filed in and filled the seats. Carlisle walked past me his scent and beauty making the elements in my stir. Shit. I thought.  If I let myself go I'd probably destroy this entire state. Ugh, why do I have to be so bad with my hormones?! Unfortunately or fortunately, Carlisle sat alone and I was told to sit next to him. I sat down and Carlisle moved back his nose scrunched up in pain, shit, if it's that bad then imagine how I must smell I mean he has the most control out of all of his family. I cringed inwardly.
"Okay everyone. The person besides you are your medical partner for the rest of this class and the remainder of your years. Dedicate this period to get to know the person beside you. But do it softly or you'll have to recite the seven deadly myths." The teacher says. I tilted my head in amusement, who'd be afraid to recite myths? Apparently everyone. I turned to Carlisle, though my body felt like it was about to explode I held myself in for the sake of being nice.
"Hi, my names Asher Liliaca Snow, you must be Alice and Edward's sibling? " I say cheerfully. Shocked he turned to me and gulped, nodding his head slightly he smiled.
"I'm Carlisle, so what am I supposed to call you?" He asks.
"Whatever you want." I offer grinning.
" Okay, Ash. So why take medical sciences?" He asks.
"Because I want to help those that can't stand or are on the verge of death to see the light of another day. It's just who I am, what about you,Carl? " I ask grinning even wider at his nickname. He blinked before smiling.
" Same. And that's not a bad nickname, just don't call me that around others." Carlisle says.
" Sure. But how come you look like your in pain? Did I accidentally drop the chairs feet on your own?" I ask tilting my head. He shook his head.
"No, it's nothing to worry about." He says in a smooth voice. I smiled in understanding.
" Alrighty then, I heard you work on weekends, don't you need rest?" I ask.
"No, I'm fine working. Do you know where I work? "
" Forks Hospital, I assume. By the way, why do all of you look alike? Well not in the twin sense more in a, umm, pale skin, golden eyes and drop dead gorgeous kinda like. " I ask, be chuckled and shook his head.
" We're all family, we were adopted by the Cullen's and Hales." He say.
"More than one of both, he? " I ask.
" No, their married. Esme my adopted mother and Dr.Peter though Peter passed away a while back." Says Carlisle. I grimaced.
" I'm so sorry for your loss. I shouldn't have pried." I say my smile dropped from my face.
" No it's fine it happened a longs time ago." He says. Well he actually doesn't exist, now I feel bad. Carlisle thought, I pursed my lips not wanting to laugh. I can't believe my mind went against me and read his thoughts.

I leaned against the truck, school had ended and Bella had gone to the office to deliver out slips. Edward stormed out, I smiled and waved, he paused and waved right back before waking away. Bella came out a hurt look on her face.

"Cheer up, Isa, it's not the end of the world he'll warm up to you eventually." I say, she sighed and nodded her head opening the truck for us as we hopped in. She started the truck and I plugged my auxiliary in and played classical music that the both of us loves. She and I hummed along until it went to play Taylor Swift.  I sang instead whilst Bella listened.
