"For you, I'd risk it all"

KENNEDY WINCED AS SHE woke up on the sodden, moss covered forest floor. Peeling her eyes open slowly, Kennedy's head felt awfully heavy and raw. The first thing she recognized was the caliginosity of the sky and the malignant metal of the eclipse. Lastly, her eyes focused onto the Tulpas coven surrounding her. There was no rush of memories that flooded her mind, leaving her clueless at the situation.

The delicate girl attempted to lean herself off the ground, not letting herself suffer without a fight. Kennedy wasn't afraid to fight--even if it meant family as she glanced at her siblings. Black cloaks silently chanted, hands intertwined with one another. Even with such discreet covering, she could spot Raven and Bradan in a heartbeat. The sound of their voices were too familiar--the ones that caused jealousy to boil in her veins and planted rage in her heart.

For Kennedy, there was a fine line between hatred and fondness--but her younger siblings made the area gray. Darcy and Logan crossed the line and will remain there, full of resentment and hostility. Fond memories that they actually had together will vanish from her memory.

"What's going on?" Kennedy questioned, finally standing up after one's way with difficulty. The weight of her throbbing head dragged her down, grasping her forehead and gasping.

"Kennedy, you've failed us. We are putting you where...where you will be considered safe, or at least compared to what you've done here for yourself. This is what's best for you." A thunderous voice announced, clasping his hands together. The daughter turned her attention towards her father, Logan. Her lips quivered, eyebrows furrowed.

Those words cluttered her mind, repeating themselves but it felt kike a skipping record. The one she seek comfort in the most was the one who brought intense misery. Clenching her hands together, she tread heavily towards Logan. Within several feet away from her, she felt her body fling backwards, flying through the air before she collided with the floor. Wincing, she grabbed her stomach.

"I--I haven't mentioned you to anyone! Please," she breathed heavily, "please don't kill me." She begged, looking up at her father with pleading eyes. Tears began to brim on her eyes, struggling not to howl in pain.

Kennedy never felt accepted by the people considered family, she was the closest she'd ever known to a family. Her biological parents didn't want Kennedy, now it seemed like the ones who raised her don't either. The girl adored her friends, she had this urge to protect them. But did they ever consider her like that? Kennedy was the only one who wasn't friends from childhood--granted Stefan and Damon are a different story.

Would they even notice she went missing?

Wiping the tears from her face, they spoke nonsense to her. Logan and Darcy kept repeating each other, but not letting her in on any of the clues. Throughout all the supernatural drama her friends and herself went through, she never mentioned the coven. Not once.
