Portal: Glados' story

Chapter 4

       It is the morning now and Glados woke up first. It is currently seven in the morning. It is also a school day today. Chell was still asleep, but Glados decided she was not going to be awake alone, so she got herself dressed for the day and jumped onto Chell.

       "Wake up already. It's morning and we gotta get ready for school soon."

       "Do you always have to wake me up like that?" Chell said while sitting up and stretching. 

       "Yes, now come on. I smell breakfast and I'm hungry!" Glados tried to drag Chell a little, "Also, I want you to come with me."

      "Why? Do you need something?"

       "Nah, I just want to talk to someone besides your mom or dad." 

       "Okay fine, I'll be down in a second."

       Glados was fine with that answer and headed downstairs. There were pancakes made already and Glados already started eating. Chell got dressed and came downstairs to sit by her. Glados was already almost done with her food when Chell got downstairs. 

       "You're done already?"

       "yeah, you took forever getting ready." Glados laughs a little bit. 

       Chell playfully punches her on her shoulder. She finished eating as well and they get ready the rest of the way. Chell hugs her parents and they both wave back at them. They walk down the street to wait at the bus stop. After waiting for a few minutes, the bus is there and they hop on. They go to their seat that they usually sit at near the front. As the bus picks up more kids, Chell and Glados decide to talk about stuff while Glados gets out her sketchbook and pencils to draw. 

       "What do you think we're gonna do at school today?" Chell asks.

       "We are working on that project for science about space still." 

       "Oh yeah! We're paired up with Ashley and Caleb."

       "Why is Caleb so obsessed with space?"

       "It's just one of his interests I guess. I think he did most of the project himself because of how much he loves it." 

       Chell and Glados both laugh at that. They continue talking for the rest of the ride to school. They arrive at school and get out of the bus. They walk to their classroom together and sit down. The class watch educational videos and take notes. 

       After a while, the teacher tells them to get into their groups to work on their project. The four of them sit on the ground and start to work.

       "I really like space!" Caleb says even though everyone already knows.

       "We know you like space. You say that everyday." Ashley said, rolling her eyes and smiling a little. 

       Ashley is one of those girly girls. Likes dresses and nice shoes, Favorite color is pink and likes everything princess related. Chell, on the other hand, likes things like t-shirts, any color other than pink or purple, and comic books. Glados is like her parents. She likes any science related thing, fuzzy sweaters, and art. 

       "Glados, what's your favorite subject?" Ashley asks.

       "I really like science, like my parents do."

       "That's cool. Where do your parents even work?"

       "They work at a lab called Aperture Science. My dad is the founder and CEO of that place."
