Kageyama snorted as he hangs up the call and put his phone in his jeans pocket. "let's go."

you rose an eyebrow, head slightly tilted in confusion. "uh, we're going somewhere?"

"yes, dumbass. that's why im here."

the words left his mouth slowly entered your brain to be processed. after a few seconds, your [e/c] orbs went round in surprise and a soft gasp escaped your lips.

this is too good to be true. there's no way your soft adorable crush would take his time to come to your house and asked you out.

this is a lie.

"[name], are we good to go now?"

his voice snapped you out from your random thoughts. you raised your head to reply but were immediately distracted by his dark blue eyes that intensively staring at you.

at that moment, you knew you could get lost in those eyes at any time.

"[name]?" he called you out again, trying to get the answer from you.

you locked your eyes with him for the last time before turning away to focus on his face instead and asked him the stupidest question ever. "are you asking me out?"

his dark blue orbs that had previously was staring at you went big due to your sudden question. he clearly didn't expect you to casually ask him like that.

"yes. uh, no. wait, what am i talking about? i mean yes since i thought you're mad at me. y-yes, that's what i meant," he flusteredly replied as a pink hue spread across his cheeks.

you chuckled at his cuteness and saw him turned his head to the side in agitation, softly muttering curse words. the nervous kageyama was your favorite and will always be since you could tease him until you saw that tinted hue of pink on his cheeks that signify he was shy and you would take that as your cue to stop. because shy kageyama always make your heart went whoosh dup dap dup.

and of course, you cant take it since you fell for him hard.

"thats it," he stated in a serious tone as he turned his heels to move from his current spot, leaving you who still had a stupid grin engraved on your lips.

with that, your hands unconsciously made its way to tug on his arms, stopping him from moving any further and a mischievous glint in your eyes was accompanied by your action. "oh god, chill. im joking."

he stopped right on his tracks, heart beating uncontrollably against his ribcage. he turned his body to face you and stole a few glances on his arms.

nervousness was taking control of his body, but he quickly covered it up with a blank face. "yeah, yeah, whatever."

"you're such a cute baby. anyway, wait here. im going to take my stuff real quick," you let him know as you let go of his arms.

the dark-haired boy was left speechless in front of your door. he clearly still processing what was happening. his mind was torn between two things which were you just called him 'baby' and he kind of was missing the warmth of your hands.

little did he know, he was enjoying this.

"can i know where the hell we're going?" you broke the peaceful silence as you raised your head to look up at the sky.

the sky was painted with dim lights from the stars. the shadowy lights shone upon you to light up the pathway you were taking with Kageyama to the only God knows where.

you clasped your hands behind your back as you humming your favorite song. actually, you couldn't tell which emotions you were having at that moment because your heart was filled with mixed feelings—nervous, confused and mostly excited.

Kageyama, on the other hand, was stealing glances in your direction. he was battling with himself to start the conversation first as he doesn't want you to feel bored when you were with him. that was the last thing he wanted you to feel.

at last, he mustered enough courage to strike up a conversation, ignoring the sweat on his palm. "are you perhaps, bored, dumbass?"

"nope," you answered.

he hummed in response before talking again, "don't worry. it's going to be fun. i promise."

"if it isnt, can i get a refund?" you asked in a joking tone, eyebrows wiggling to tease him.

he rolled his eyes, but still gave you an answer, "yeah, suit yourself dumbass."

you chuckled. he really doesn't expand his vocabulary of insults. and that's what makes him look appealing.

after a few minutes had passed, noisy noises—children's screams, the sound of various machines and the voices of people chatting to each other, blaring into your ears, indicated you were close to your destination.

when the small festival in your neighborhood came into view, a soft gasp left your chapped lips. Kageyama bring you here to apologize to you? god, why he's so soft?

"fuck, can i kiss him now?" you mumbled softly, eyes still scanning the whole scene in front of you.

"what are you waiting for, dumbass? let's go," he said, the corner of his lips slightly tugged up into a small smile while his hands grabbed your arms to enter the gate.

"oh shit mom, i think i love him." was the last thing you whispered before the fun began.
