YOU were beyond ecstatic. spending time with your cherished ones, doing things you both fancy without planning anything leave you beaming to the core.

you were holding a cotton candy—after a few minutes, fighting with Kageyama who insisted to buy you that, while strolling beside him, scanning for a certain booth.

when your [e/c] orbs landed on this one booth, the corner of your eyes curled up a bit but it immediately turns to a disappointed look in a split second.

the booth was crowded—fulls of people with their partners, giggling and grinning to each other which made you want to choke on your cotton candy.

and because of that, the idea of wanted to get a matching bracelet with Kageyama was cancel. you didn't want him to feel uncomfortable because of the crowdedness. plus, the matching bracelet idea was probably too childish.

you let out a big sigh. a pout was clearly visible on your chapped lips due to unfulfilled wish you had in your mind.

Kageyama who was beside you, watching every move you made without getting caught, saw the pout on your lips and instantly knew something was wrong.

he thanked god because he got to catch that look on your face before going back home, or else he would feel regret for his whole life.

with that, he followed the direction on your eyes and it landed on that crowded booth. a disgusted look immediately plastered on his face, but suddenly it changed to a soft look when he saw a few people getting a matching bracelet.

gulping the remaining saliva in his throat while chanting low inaudible words, he grabbed your arms and walked towards the booth.

in the back of his mind, the only important thing he wanted to do for you was making you happy and satisfied tonight.

his action somehow made you unintentionally choke on your half-eaten cotton candy. it would be a lie if you didn't say you weren't shocked.

was he watching you or something? how does he know you wanted to go there? all of these questions were dancing in your mind as Kageyama still dragging you to that booth.

"Kageyama, what are you doing?" you asked, but still doesn't stop him from dragging you.

he turned to look at you over his shoulder and replied in a matter-of-fact tone, "we are getting a matching bracelet."

it felt like your eyeballs were going to jump out of its socket when you heard that. was he being serious?

"Are you for real right now? I thought you didn't like crowded places?"

"yeah i don't, but that matching bracelet kinda looks nice."

and again, for the umpteenth time, he leaves you speechless.

when you two had reached the booth, people were kind of pushing each other in order to see and buy the bracelet. so, Kageyama being a gentleman he was, grabbed your waist softly and brought you closer to him. as a result, you kind of bumped into his chest.

"sorry. there's too many people. i didn't want to lose you," he muttered over the top of your head.

you were too startled to reply, so you just nodded your head. and the fact that you can hear his voice even though he was talking to you over the top of your head kind of amazing.

"hello, what can i do for you?" the vendor asked, interrupting the small moment you two had.

"can we have that?" Kageyama pointed to the bracelets that have a small king and queen design on it.

the vendor nodded and took the bracelets at the end of the table. he gave Kageyama the bracelets and smiled, "perfect choice young man. this suits you two."

the corner of Kageyama's lips tugged upward, his hands took the bracelets from the vendor and replied, "thank you, sir," before bending a little to reach the height of your ears, whispering, "are you okay with this?"

your breath hitched in your throat. his hot breath was sending electricity throughout your whole body. the closeness between you two really didn't help your mental health as you were panicking right at that moment.

"ah y-yes," you responded in a muttering mess.

he chuckled softly and you swear you could feel the vibrations from his chest.

you two were that close.

with that, you silently prayed to god so that he doesn't hear your loud heartbeat as you knew it was going to be really embarrassing.

after he paid for the bracelet, he grabbed you again to left the crowd and went somewhere that doesn't have too many people.

"wanna wear it now?" he asked, eyebrow slightly tugged upwards.

you blinked your eyes in confusion but still managed to reply, "sure."

"c-can you help me to wear it?" he lowered his gaze as he spat out the words, hands fidgeting with the bracelet.

your [e/c] orbs went widened but you still took the bracelet and put on his hands. the bracelet perfectly clasped on his hands. it was so lovely.

after that, he grabbed your arm and put on the bracelet. "i knew it's going to look pretty on you."

wait

what in the world you just hear? did he really say pretty? you were hoping your ears didn't play a trick.

when you were about to ask something, you were cut off by some random vendor yelling, "painting on each other faces for free! funny faces are going to get a huge prize! come and have fun with your adorable partners! only for today! hurry up!"

you snapped your head real quick to that vendor and turned to Kageyama back. a smirk slowly covered your lips.

Kageyama instantly knew your intention. he shook his head, "fuck no."

"aww, come on." a pout on your lips, eyes unintentionally begging him with those puppy looks.

"no," he stated in a short and serious tone.

"fine. i knew you are pussy for this whole time." you huffed, arms crossed over your chest.

after a few minutes, he replied, "okay fine. bring it on dumbass."

you snorted yet a soft smile managed to visible on your lips.
