The Meeting Point

Dust hits my soft fair skin as Pegasus rode off the city. I can feel brother's gaze as I galloped further. The cheers and shouts of people faded away as the walls create the noises again and the hole sealed.

The whole army of female Cavalry rode not far behind me. As foot army of men sprints behind me. 50.000 of us.

Soon, there will be a total of 250.000 of us. Including me and the other princesses, 250.003.

Although slightly annoyed to live in such old ways without the technology, but I don't want to be ambushed just because we accidentally tripped into the scanner of the BarBars by using a floating AirCraft.

I sighed as I looked back and saw my city. Just a small black wall helplessly beat by the sands and clouds of dust. Thanks to the layer of protective shield, we were safe from sand storms and the radiation. But not the mutated attacks from the BarBars.

And on that exact day, the exact moment, I swore. I shall protect my people. My home. My land.

--------- 3 hours later--------

It was an exhausting journey. I decided to rest using an ancient thing called "camp". Damn, the old ways are definitely harder. I tried multiple times and only succeed in the 24th time. Ain't my fault. My headquarter camp is hella big. Biggest among all the other camps. With a window looking out with scanners on them.

As soon as I saw the camp ready, I entered and saw everything was already neatly placed. I walked towards the center, to a semi-circular table.

"Bring in the vice generals," I commanded to my 2 female guards. They bowed before walking out of my headquarter.

As soon as they left, I sat back on my rotating chair. I smiled at the interior. They are just like home. White, Smooth, with blue lights emitting from under my table and the ceiling edge.  Yet the exterior is just... weird. I turned around and stared out. It's a one-way mirror. And I can see sands. Only sands.

"Greetings your royal highness." The 4 vice generals chorused as they entered and bowed.

"Skip the etiquettes," I said, turning away from the windows.

"As you wish, princess." And once again, in unison. They all stood up and walked towards the table.

"How far are we from the meeting point?" I asked, trying to turn the URH on.

"Estimation of 32 miles." One of them chirruped.

"Why is this thing not turning on?" I asked as I vigorously click on the button.

"Our generator has some rock particles stuck in the main and side turbines. But it will run again soon." The other one said.

"And how long is this 'soon'?" I asked.

"Around... tomorrow. We can wait."

"We can, but are you sure the other Princesses will?" I snapped.

Ugh... stupid sands. It touched the necklace brother gave me. How I wish you're here. You would have a great idea. Then, I remembered. I took my bag and dug out my brother's scroll.
