They get closer every second. I can hear Ryn shouting to her armies to let her go and save me. I opened my eyes and saw all 3 swam closer... closer...

They swam past me.

I turned around to see all 3 of them swimming towards the giant teeth-filled mouth. They bit and smashed many of the teeth, pulling them out one by one. Its black blood oozed out, diffusing to the clear water before fading away. It let out a monstrous roar and send the other 3 flying away. Although it was swimming away at an unbelievable speed, I can see it's giant red eyes and tentacles brushing against the wall stones. Knocking one of the stone columns down.

All of a sudden, the cavern shook, erupting a thunderous growl as chunks of stones and stalagmites and stalactites fell off the ceiling. I looked up towards the surface and saw our 10 vice generals, mine and hers, pulling Ryn away. She put up a fight, but soon collapse as one of my vice generals hit the backside of her neck. I swam up, trying as hard as I can to reach the top. To tell them that I'm still alive. But soon, a wave of water hits me and pushed me further away from the surface.

Everything turned to a frenzy. I only can see the raining rocks and the bubbles from my mouth. I'm running out of breath. I can feel myself losing consciousness. But I can still make out the 3 monsters before, formed a circle around me. Almost like... protecting me. I looked up and saw, for the first time, one of their eyes. Deep blue. Filled with fear.

Then, nothing. Just pure blackness.

I gasped for air. Everything came back to me. Fragments by fragments. The cavern... the waters... the dress... the 3 monsters... the drowning... the giant octopus... the waves... the frenzy current... the eyes.

I looked around in shock. Where's Ryn? Where're the armies? Where's the Main Base? Where's... home?

There's only miles and miles of sand ahead of me. Behind me, a giant hole, probably where I came out from. A stream of water still flowed out of it. I can see my bow and arrow settling next to me. A few feet from me, the 3 monsters laid. 2 was still alive, breathing heavily, with small scars. But one, it's bleeding. A large stalactite pointed out of its stomach.

This is my chance to run, I thought.

I turned around, picked my bows and arrows, and ran. But I can feel their eyes staring back at me. This made me stop mid-way. I looked back and saw their helpless furs beating against the wind.

I walked back and stopped in front of them. They looked at me and looked back down. Taking out my canteen, I dripped it over the wounds of the other 2. The wounds healed immediately as the small drop touched its open blood. They didn't move much. But the pain had gone from their eyes.

Last...

I kneeled beside the largest of them, staring at the giant pointy rock sticking out from its stomach. Slowly, I held the stone. I can hear it whimpers as its eyes watered.

1...2...3!

I pulled it out, sending gushes of blood pouring from the wound. Swiftly, I pulled out the canteen and poured a good 2 seconds. The wounds magically sealed up. Just like its other 2 brothers, it laid there silent, exhausted. I looked at the digital liters on the canteen. 2 liters left. I looked at the white furs. Unable to hold myself again, I slowly place my hands on its head. I was expecting a growl or a sudden jerk. But none of that happened. It just lay there before slowly rubbing its head on my hands. They're not monsters. More like a dog who just met its master after ages of separation. Except that they are way bigger than dogs.

It wasn't long until the sky grew dark and white dots appeared all over it. Astonished, I stared at them. I never saw them before. Every 5 o'clock, guards will escort me to my royal palace and shut the door. Sometimes, I stare out my ceiling window, but all I can see is darkness. Mother always said this makes the city more 'invisible' in the night. Brother said the sky has little eyes on it, blinking now and then. Every morning, they will sleep, but every night they will wake up. These eyes, like what my brother called them, are stars.

I sighed. I missed mother and brother. I hope they're doing fine. I stared at the stars and laid back on the largest one as the other 2 came closer to me. I don't need any light or warmth anymore. This is beautiful. I looked at the other 2 snoring. They are beautiful.

I stared at the stars and saw them slowly moving. Slowly bringing me to my land of fantasies.

I woke up with a giant tongue licking on my face. Unlike the night time, the temperature had drastically risen. I blinked my eyes to adapt to the brightness and saw the 3 faces of the giant... things. I screamed as loud as I can, sending them scurrying away a good 2 meters.

I stopped screaming and stared at them. They stared back, sitting nicely. Not with those bloodshot and murder-thirsty eyes, but with... puppy eyes?

I staggered to stand as they slowly walked towards me. I felt no threat so I just standstill. They stopped after forming a circle around me. One licked my hands as the other one sniffed my dress. The last one, the largest, stood there and stared at my eyes before walking up to my face and sniffing it.

Suddenly, it jumped on me, followed by the other 2. They licked and barked happily.

"Ok... ok... stop it..." I giggled as they wouldn't stop licking.

After around a minute of tickling, they stopped. I saw life in their eyes. Happiness and joy. I smiled and stood up, picked up my bow and arrows before walking away. My people are waiting for me. I gotta go. I waved them good-bye as they stared at me, perplexed.

I walked a few steps and looked back. They followed me and stopped too. I walked and stopped. They walked and stopped too.

"Go... hush... go back." I pointed behind them.

They just looked at my finger, looked at where it's pointing, and looked back at me.

I walked again and looked back. They're still following.

"Ugh... fine. Come here."

As if they understand, they ran to me. Adding a pet at home wouldn't be bad, I thought.

"Now... nod if the answer is yes, shake your head if the answer is no, ok?"

They all nodded.

"Good. Now, are you boys?"

All three shook their heads.

"Hm... do you girls have a name?"

They shook their heads.

"Ok. You..."I pointed at the smallest, the most left. Though not small enough to be called a wolf. "Amber."

She nodded vigorously, bobbing her heads up and down.

"Now, you..." I pointed at the other one, medium-sized, most right. "will be Nectar."

She nodded and barked.

"And you..." I pointed at the last, the largest, the center. I felt like she is their leader as they all listened to her. "Your name will be Hera. The queen of the ancient Greek gods."

She nodded and... smiled.

And just like that, I set out a journey, to go home. With my girls.
