''Come on! Its not that hard,'' Glory cried as she stood over her shoulder.
Tsunami groaned, banging her head on the table in surrender. ''Ouch,'' she said, without looking up and her voice lacking any actual emotion. ''Oh Moons! Tsunami! Just do it! It's not even that hard! I mean anyone can solve this!
Tsunami brought her hands up to her ears, ''Stop yelling at me Glory. It's NOT helping!''
The blonde girl sighed, ''Alright. Listen. When you take this term to that side of the equation you change the sign before it. Are you even listening to me? Hello?'' Tsunami snapped out of her daydream. ''Yeah yeah, I am''
''Alright, what did I just say?''
''Uhhh....''
Glory raised an eyebrow, ''Really, Nami? You know what? I'll just do it for you.''
''Wow, thanks Glory.''
The girl grinned and rested her hands on her hips, ''Buuut it's gonna cost ya''
Tsunami frowned, she should have seen this coming. Nevertheless she dug into her jeans pocket and brought out a 5 dollars bill. She handed it over to Glory, ''Here you go. They better be correct!''
Glory pocketed the money in a hurry, ''They will be, don't worry. Aaand because you are my best friend I'll even write in a bad handwriting so that Miss Scarlet thinks this is actually yours'' ''Ha! It's hard to trick that woman, you're the only one who has managed to do that.''
She smirked and flipped her blonde hair in response, ''I know. I'm awesome.''
''Shut up and complete it, lunch is almost over''
''Fine"
Less than five minutes later Glory handed the sheet back to Tsunami. ''Done!'' she said proudly. ''Thanks!'' the blue haired girl replied shoving the worksheet inside a random notebook. ''Gotta go now!'' With that Tsunami turned around to leave but her way was blocked by a tall girl with fiery red hair. ''What are you guys doing?'' she asked with forced curiosity.
Tsunami frowned. This was Peril. The school bully and Miss Scarlet's favorite student. Which Tsunami guessed was because, as per the latest school gossip, the said teacher was dating Peril's father, Chameleon, a rich businessman. Probably just using his daughter to get closer to him and more specifically, his money. For now, Tsunami looked at her with a haughty expression, ''It's none of your business.''
''Oh, I think it is,'' Peril replied saucily, before snatching Tsunami's notebooks. ''Hey! What are you doing!?'' Tsunami demanded as she tried to snatch them back. The red-head casually flipped through her books until she chanced upon something that caught her eye.
She grinned up at Tsunami, ''Ooooh, looks like someone's got a crush on-'' Her sentence came to an abrupt halt as something collided with her face, sending her sprawling back.
Tsunami blinked a few times. Had she just done that? A gasp from Glory, who was still standing behind her confirmed the fact. Yes, Tsunami had just punched Peril.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
''Woah woah woah! You punched Peril. Like the Peril ? And she didn't set you on fire for that?''
''Yes,'' Tsunami replied, slightly annoyed.
''Woah,'' Turtle said, sounding awed. ''What happened next?''
''I was just about to say that before someone-''
''TSUNAMI!''a voice called from downstairs.
''Interrupted me.''
''TSUNAMI!'' the voice called again. The girl groaned before leaning back in her chair. ''What is it mom!?''
''Come down for dinner!'' Coral cried and she could hear the scuttling footsteps of her maids and butlers as they hurried about the house, setting up the plates and adding the finishing touches to the various dishes. It was a few minutes before Tsunami finally got up from her chair and slouched all the way to the door.
''Aren't you coming for dinner?'' she asked her brother, who seemed to be heading to his room instead of the dining area. ''Nah,'' he said dismissively, his green eyes meeting hers for a second. ''I'm not hungry. You can tell me the rest of the story tomorrow.''
The blue haired girl looked at her sibling, wondering for a moment if he had a secret stash of food in his room. Hmmm I will have to see that later.
''Sure dude,'' she said out loud. ''Tomorrow it is. G'night!''
Turtle laughed, his swoopy curls bobbing up and down. ''Oh, I'm not sleeping yet. I still have my H.W to do.'' Saying so the amply built boy disappeared inside his room leaving his sister quite uneasy.
Eh no worries She thought as she slid down the railing of the stairs. Procrastination on History projects has always been my fatal flaw. Even Webs should be used to that by now.
Oo0f. Horrible Chapter. I apologize. As usual. *sighs*
