It was early Monday morning. The air was crisp, indicating the fast approaching cold weather that winter would bring. The leaves Eren walked on made satisfying crunching noises, and he would make a face whenever a leaf did not make said noise up to his standards. Leaf crunching, it's serious business.
He was in a better mood than usual. Mostly because he was anticipating meeting up with (Y/N) at school that morning. The weekend had been eventful, to say the least. However, it was also one of the reasons for his oddly bright disposition. Perhaps the two went hand in hand. He smiled to himself as he walked, thinking about these things.
"What's got you so happy?" Armin asked as he met up with Eren on the way to school. It had been tradition, in a sense, to walk together. They'd done so since they were young.
"It's a long story," Eren sighed, still maintaining that distant grin.
"Well, I'm listening," Armin offered his attention to Eren. He had his own suspicion as to what the cause of his best friend's happiness. He had, after all, spent quite a bit of time planning with the others.
"It'd be better if I just explained it to everyone later, plus I need to talk to (Y/N)." Eren shoved his hands in his pockets, hesitantly deviating from the leaf crunching to talk to Armin. Armin had given a nod, one with narrowed eyes that were eerily knowing. Eren paid little mind to this, figuring his friend was just tired. His nose was pink, maybe he was catching yet another cold, which could have made him a bit spacey. Either way, Eren decided it didn't matter. He had more important things to ponder on.
"Oh, (Y/N)? Does she know about whatever this is?" Armin asked.
"You could say that," Eren shrugged as the two walked into school. They parted ways to head to their respective first period classes.

"Why are you smiling like that?" Jean asked, his body turned around in his seat to face Eren. Connie sat beside him, his arm around the back of his chair.
"It's a long story, I'll explain later," Eren said, turning his focus to his empty notebook. Had they been told to take notes? Whoops.
"Hey, have either of you seen (Y/N) today?" Eren asked the two. He thought he would have seen her before fourth period, however he hadn't caught sight of her.
"Oh, yeah, she's helping out the drama club, they're low on stage hands. She'll probably still meet up with us later, though," Connie said. How come Connie knew, but Eren didn't? He would have thought he'd be the one to hear from her. It didn't matter much. He would see her later.
"Why do you ask?" Jean had a smirk on his face, one Eren would have liked to slap right off him. Jean had a feeling he knew why Eren was acting so chipper. He might have thought Eren was an asshole, but coming up with that idea was actually enjoyable. Connie had thought so as well, being that he had been the first one to agree.
"Like I said, I'll explain later." Eren scribbled on his notebook to try and make the teacher think he was doing his work.

"What's wrong with your face?" Sasha poked Eren's cheek, and Eren swatted her hand away. She'd always had a habit of getting in people's personal space, no matter how many times Eren asked her to 'Respect the Bubble.'
"What are you talking about?" He asked.
"You're smiling," Sasha said with a dumb grin of her own. Eren scoffed.
