"Then all of us can hang out tonight," Connie finished, looking rather proud of his idea.  You raised an eyebrow, wondering if he was stupid enough to think anyone could get past Levi.

"C'mon guys," Eren said, "I can stay down there tonight.  You don't have to cross Levi."  At least someone had their head screwed on right.

"No, it's not okay for him to lock you up like that.  It will only be for a few hours, then we'll put you back.  He'll never know it happened," Mikasa assured him.

"And why do you want me to get the keys?" You asked.

"Because," Connie scoffed, "out of all of us, the Captain is the least mean to you.  If you get caught, he won't be as hard on you!"  If only he knew what a lie that was.

Still, you found it unfair to mock others as you walked down the halls, searching for Levi's quarters.  You remembered seeing him enter a certain room, and you also figured that his room would be the cleanest.  That would make it easier to spot.

In all honesty, it was slightly exhilarating.  Since Levi caught you back when you were still a refuge, you hadn't done anything 'criminal'.  Even so, this wasn't necessarily bad, as long as you returned the keys to their original spot once Eren was back in his cell.  It might be harder to do so while Levi is in the room, but by that time he couldn't have stopped Eren's release from happening in the first place.

You spotted the door, and remembered that it was located at a corner.  The doors in the building, at least the ones to the bedrooms, did not have locks on them.  You twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open, peeking inside.  Yes, this was definitely his room.  It didn't match the musty scent of the rest of the castle, and it was very organized.

You stepped in and shut the door behind yourself, allowing your eyes to adjust to the dark.  In the back corner of the room was a desk.  If the key were to be anywhere, it must have been in one of the drawers, as surely it wouldn't be kept in the closet.

The desk was old, the paint on the wood was chipped.  You knelt down in front of the desk and opened the first drawer.  Inside of it were a few neatly folded cleaning rags.  You silently laughed at the thought of him folding his rags, and continued to the next drawer.  The next one contained a single book which had no title on the cover.  Wow, this guy really didn't own many things, did he?

You moved on to the middle drawer.  Slowly pulling it open, you squinted in the dark in order to try and see what exactly was inside of it.  You reached you hand in and tried to feel around.

"Gone back to your old ways?"  That same deep, sharp voice asked.  You froze in place, hearing a small jingle from behind you.  Turning around, you saw Captain Levi.  He swung a set of keys around his index finger before catching them as they hit the palm of his hand.  You noticed the door had been shut.

"You followed me?"  You asked.  He shrugged.

"You're the one who happens to be intruding.  I wouldn't point blame if I were you."  He walked across the room, stopping just a bit behind you.  "I heard what you and your friends were talking about.  Springer's got a loud mouth."

"So... what?  You could've stopped me when I was leaving."

"I could have.  Maybe I just wanted to catch you in the act," he said.  You got to your feet and turned around to face him, your hands holding you up against the desk.

You grinned, "Maybe you just wanted to get me in your room."  It was meant as a joke.  However, as he walked closer to you, leaning over you to place the keys on the desk behind you, and as his face stayed dangerously close to yours, it felt nothing like a joke.

"Maybe I did," his voice grew quieter, and your breath hitched.  You knew you had quite obviously flirted with him in the past, even if it wasn't 100% seriously, although he never reacted.  It was no lie that you thought he was an attractive person, and now with him so close you could feel his breath on your skin, it was hard to believe this was real.

"That's very bold of you to say," you stammered out, eyes darting across his face, several times to his lips.

"Yet you brought it up," he said, his face now mere centimeters from yours.  "I'm growing impatient, (Y/N)."

     "Then kiss me."

He pressed his lips to yours rather roughly, and you reached your arms up to wrap around his neck.  His hands held your waist as your lips moved against each other.  Your mind, normally racing at a pace too fast to keep up with, was clear.  All that remained was him.  Him...

You hesitantly pulled away, struggling to catch your breath.  "We... we can't be doing this, you're..."

"Really?  Because last I recalled, you were never one for following the rules," he said, his voice still deep, but not nearly as sharp.  You tried to find any valid reason not to do this, any reason that you cared about.  However, as you racked your brain for this reason, none showed up.

"...Fuck it."  You grabbed his face and kissed him again.  He stumbled backwards a bit, but caught his balance and kissed back.  You grabbed his jacket and began to slide it off.  He didn't seem to object.  Once it was on the floor, and your hands were on his body once again, he began to follow suit.  You had already forgotten why you had come to his room in the first place.

"What the hell happened to you?" Connie asked as you met the group the next morning.  "You look like you just got trampled by a horse."

You giggled to yourself, "Hmm, something like that."

"You didn't get the keys last night," Sasha added, annoyance in her tone.

     "What keys?"

You lay next to him, staring up at the ceiling in deep thought.  His eyes were closed, but he was not sleeping.  The light of dawn peeked through the curtains, you knew you two would have to get up soon.  As you turned and looked over at Levi, a thought crossed your mind.

You grinned, although he could not see it.  "I guess you could say I... stole your heart!"

     "Get out."
