Hi, I'm Marla. Age 16. Born and raised in Dauntless. I didn't stick with Dauntless even though I enjoy the freedom. I chose Erudite. And this is when I met my best friends. *FLASHBACK*
It was right after my choosing ceremony, and I was walking with the Erudite outside. I have chosen intelligence over selflessness, bravery, kindness, and honesty. I was raised with courage and bravery so of course it would effect my new life as an Erudite girl. "'Ignorance' is defined not as stupidity but as lack of knowledge. Lack of knowledge inevitably leads to lack of understanding. Lack of understanding leads to a disconnect among people with differences. Disconnection among people with differences leads to conflict. Knowledge is the only logical solution to the problem of conflict. Therefore, we propose that in order to eliminate conflict, we must eliminate the disconnect among those with differences by correcting the lack of understanding that arises from ignorance with knowledge." I recited pieces of the Erudite manifesto in my mind. This could be fun. Or it could be hell. I guess I'll find out. *FLASHBACK over*
That was the day I chose Erudite and Erudite chose me. I was never happier than the day I became part of the Erudite. I've always believed they were one of the strongest factions. Did I mention I have a job at the library now?! I can read books all day while helping others quench their thirst for knowledge! This was the best job ever! I sort of miss Dauntless though because I left my best friend, Marzia Rose Rochel there, and I've missed her ever since. But we both chose our own paths. Due to her tough and wild nature, it came as no surprise to me that she chose her home faction, Dauntless.
