Virgil walked into his homeroom (which was his ELA class), it was the day after Roman's death and hushed whispers were running through the room. Virgil took his typical seat in the back of the class, and announcements came on not long after. Nothing new was announced (Virgil assumed that telling a school of kids that their fellow classmates had died in "freak accident" while at school was probably not the best idea). When announcements were over, Virgil grabbed his stuff and started to head to his next class. Virgil looked around the hallway, and to his surprise, he saw Patton and Logan both lingering in front of the science class' door. Logan was leaning on the lockers next to the door, looking a bit shaken. And Patton was talking to the science teacher and looked as if he'd been crying for hours on end, tears still swelling in his eyes. Curious, Virgil walked over to Logan. "I assume you've heard the news, or at least the rumors" Logan mumbled. Virgil just simply nodded. "It's gonna be weird, not seeing him again. Patton's taken it extremely hard, he and Roman were childhood friends." Logan said, his tone shallow and monotone. Virgil didn't make a comment. Logan let a sigh out, "it's really sad. Roman had this whole plan to ask out Patton, but now..." Logan trailed off, his glance landing on Patton. Virgil's glance, which had previously been on the floor, now also drifted towards Patton. "You've got to admit, Patton is really cute" Logan commented, a light blush dusting his cheeks. OH NO, Virgil said to himself, THIS SHIT AIN'T HAPPENING AGAIN.

Getting rid of Logan was gonna be a bit more difficult than getting rid of Roman. For one, Logan was in so many different after school activities, meaning his schedule was all over the place. Two, Logan was extremely cautious, even more now that Roman had died from an "accident" (Virgil internally giggled every time he learned he had convinced another person). And three, it was hard to find anytime that Patton and Logan were separated. Patton was, of course, taking Roman's death really hard, and Logan and Virgil had taken roles of comforting Patton. So, Virgil needed to find a sneaky way to get rid of Logan.

Virgil had brainstormed a few ideas. Smothering? No, that could be messed up easily. Fire? There's no fire he has easy access to. Poison? That might work, but there would be a lot of potential evidence that could be traced back to him.

Virgil groaned. This was going to be harder than expected.

It was a Thursday (about three weeks after Roman's death), and Virgil had taken his typical seat in the cafeteria near Logan and Patton. Patton was finishing a math assignment, Logan was writing notes for his next book club meeting, and Virgil was dwindly eating chips, but most of his attention was on a test he had in his next block. "Virgil?" Logan's voice snapped Virgil out of his daydream. "Oh I'm sorry, Lo I was in a daydream," Virgil said. "I was just informing you that Mr.Halfeild was requesting we stay after school tomorrow so that we could help him clean up from the labs that will be taking place that day," Logan stated, his eyes not moving from the notes he was writing. Virgil nodded, "I should be able to stay that day." Logan responded with a nod of his own, "That should be adequate, we will just need to inform him next block." Virgil hid his smirk behind his hoodie sleeve, things loved to just fall into place, didn't they?

Virgil now had a good place to expel of Logan, but the real question of how still rung in his head. Virgil tried to ignore these ever-growing anxious thoughts as he walked into Mr.Halfeild's class after school on Friday. Logan had already been in there when he entered, and Mr.Halfeild sat behind his desk. "Ah Virgil, thanks for coming again. I just need you and Logan to clean the beakers we used today. I'll also need a few things soaked with warm water and soap, but that's mainly it. All I request is you both but in goggles." Mr.Halfeild chirped from behind his desk. Logan and Virgil nodded, and both walked over to the goggle storage area and grabbed a pair. "Now if you boys need me, I'll be in the chemical closet, some student managed to make quite a mess in there! The door does close on its own so just knock if need anything!" Mr.Halfeild said before he slipped into the closet.

Virgil's mind was racing the entire time they were cleaning. Virgil was put in charge of setting things to soak, while Logan started cleaning the first few beakers. Virgil could probably find a simple way to stab Logan, but dealing with blood would make his task even more difficult. As Virgil dealt with his query of how to murder his cleaning partner, he stared at one of the sinks in front of him. An idea hit him like a train, and he took one semi shaky breath before quickly putting it into motion.

Grabbing the drain plug of one the sinks, Virgil turned to face Logan. "Hey, Lo" Logan turned around from his cleaning area "I pulled the drain out of the sink, but the water didn't go down." Virgil lied. God he hoped Logan couldn't see him shaking. If one thing messed up than Virgil would be screwed. "Hmm" Logan hummed before walking over and taking a look at the sink's bubbly surface. Virgil to a step the left, and back up a bit so he was behind Logan. Logan leaned a bit over the surface of the water. "What's in he-" Logan sentence was cut short, as Virgil pushed his head into the water of the sink.

The water was full of soap and a variety of different chemicals, and as much as Logan tried to push back up he couldn't. His eyes burned as the water got under his goggles, and it wasn't long before he couldn't hold his breath any longer and the chemical-filled water filled his lungs.

Logan's body fell limp in Virgil's grasp. Virgil let out a semi sigh of relief. That though was interrupted by the realization of what he now had to do. Hide the body. Virgil hadn't thought that one through. And it wasn't before he started hyperventilating and worries and fears rang in his.

Through his panic, Virgil noticed the small note slide under the door. His already unstable breathing worsened, as he cautiously walked over and pick the note up. It was written in simple black ink, but the words sent a chill down Virgil's spine.

"Dearest Virgil, I see your plan and I've watched it unfold. I've got to say you really are dedicated to Patton, and truly won't stop at any cost. I mean Logan made a single comment, and now he lies dead on the floor of a science class, a curious thing isn't it? Now don't be alarmed, I'm an accomplice of yours. I've been cleaning up any evidence you left of what you did and planned certain events to your favor. Likewise wise, I know you now have a dead body on your hands (I've seen everything you've done) and I am offering to hide said body for you, but at a price. There are a few rumors flying around, and a certain someone who liked to spill them (rumors also point to a potential crush on your Patton). All there information is attached, take them out in at least 3 weeks, and I'll hide Logan for you (as well as keeping all your secrets safe). To make this deal official, simply put Logan and his bag out the window, I'll hide his body, and text his mom saying he was gonna walk home early. It'll all be framed like a tragic accident. So, do we have a deal?

-Rem"

Virgil felt like he was on an emotional rollercoaster the entire time he read the note. So someone has watched me murder our classmates, helped me hide evidence, and is now offering to hide Logan's body for the price of me murdering someone for them. All the information made Virgil feel almost nauseous. Flipping to the next page of the note, he stared at the picture of his next potential victim. Their name was Remy Skyes, and they seemed like the cliche popular kid. Virgil wouldn't have been interested if he hadn't one had a dead body on his hands, or two known this guy was possibly into Patton.

Virgil looked back at in the direction of Logan's corpse. It looked pale and almost sad, the spark was gone from Logan's eyes, replaced with a cloudy haze. Virgil looked back at the note. He knew he could most likely trust this 'Rem' person, and they were offering to help Virgil with the one thing he didn't know what to do with.

Shaking ever so slightly, Virgil put the note in his pocket and stood up, beginning to walk over to Logan's body. Picking Logan up, he walked over to the window in the back of the science class and slid it open. He looked down at the small bush lining the school had, and before he could think twice, dropped Logan and Logan's bag right beside them.

Virgil let out a shuddered sigh and leaned against the wall next to the window. Another one down. He told himself. And hopefully, the next one will be the last.
