Beyond the mountains, through the forests, a group of children played amongst themselves. The giggling, laughing, and child like screams filled the air with such joy. They played different games, such as hide and seek and tag. Unbeknownst to them, they are being watched by an unknown presence. Blended in with its surroundings, the creature keeps it's eyes on the cheerful children. It then moves through the grassy earth, past some bushes, not making a single sound. A deep growl tickles through its throat as it stalks the small children. It moves closer and closer to them until it moves behind a young boy, who is unaware of the invisible creature. It creeps behind the boy, being as stealthy as it could be. Then, it is now an inch away behind the small child.

The child then feels a warm breath down his neck. He stays frozen for a brief moment. He turns around very slowly to look at the strange being from behind him. The creature, that was once invisible from the young one's eyes, is now visible for the boy to see. The golden dragon stood over him, standing proudly and menacingly. The children that once played and laughed, had stopped their activities and looked at the large beast as well. The creature stared down at the boy with it's bright, blue gaze. It bends it's head down to the child's level. Then, after what seemed like an eternity of silence, the dragon boops it's snout on the boy's chest and then said "boo" to him. The boy lands on the ground with a thud, all while he laughed. The beast and the other children joined in on the laughter. "Kila, I knew you were behind me the whole time" the boy said. "Oh, really? Then your senses must be very strong, Meelo" said Kila.

Before Meelo can reply, one of the children, a little girl, shouts out "lets get her" to the other children. They all obliged and went charging at the dragoness. "Oh no, a bunch of dragon slayers are out to get me" Kila said, playing along. The children tackled her to the ground, causing her to laugh happily. As they played and laughed, the galloping hoof beats of a running horse was heard. Kila lifts her head up to see the oncoming equine. The children stopped what they were doing and removed themselves off of the dragoness. The horse slows down to a halt and the rider looks towards them. "It looks like you children have caught yourselves a fierce dragon" the rider said. "Yes, Uncle Matthias, this beast could not handle our combined strength" the little girl tells him. Kila chuckles and said to her "yes, Mesa, you are a pretty strong warrior, all of you are". "She is right, young ones. Kila, Arial wants you and the children to return to the village, the sun is beginning to set" Matthias said. "Alright, Matthias, we will be there in a few moments" the dragoness said. The rider nods his head at her and then rides on back through the forest and to the village. Kila turns her attention back to the children that surrounded her. "Okay, children, you heard him, it's time to head on back" she tells them.

Kila lays on the ground, allowing the children to climb onto her back. As Meelo moves up first, he asks her "are we going to fly back this time, Kila?" "I don't know, Meelo. After being attacked by a bunch dragon slayers, I don't think my wings will be good enough" she replied, smirking at the little boy and nudging her head gently against his. "Come on, Kila, please" the rest of the children said union with pleading eyes. The dragoness sighs and raises a scaly brow at them. Then, she opens her golden wings and starts flapping them. The children start to laugh in excitement. Then, Kila flies up in the skies, not too high and not too low. She flew herself and the children back to the village, before the shadows of the night claimed the land.
