"Here is your costume, ma'am, the mistress of the house ordered you to work the splash booth."

Mistress of the house?

Splash booth?

Ma'am?

"ok thank you." I reply, taking the costume from the maids hands and walking into the changing room she directs me to.

I change into the stretchy costume, glancing in the mirror...

Holy crap Im the little mermaid.

So turns out, the splash booth is one of those dunk games where you hit the target and whatever idiot is sitting on the stool falls in a bucket of water.

Apparently Im 'idiot the mermaid'.

This is the most extravagant little kids party I have ever gone to. Not only does it have the splash booth but also a bowling game, a three bottle game, and a number of other arcade/carnival games.

So far I haven't seen Toby or anyone except kids under 10 for that matter. Whoever Toby warped Into helping him probably ditched or is working another game in hopefully an equally as ridiculous costume.

Seriously people, I have a tail!

"Can I play?" a little girl asks, walking up in a Belle costume.

"sure." I give her a smile, handing her the baseballs "try and hit the target ok?"

She nods, standing back and throwing the ball towards the three red circles making up the target. It don't make it, bouncing on the grass. She tries again but it goes too high, smacking off the board with a loud bang.

"one more try!" I muster up as Ariel I have in me as possible to be positive.

She nods, throwing her arm back and sending the ball flying. It hits the edge of the circle but with not enough force to make me fall. I breath a sigh of relief, giving the girl a sympathetic smile, "Sorry sweetie, Here-" I grab a participation present, handing her the doll that's worth more than me and SKylar's wardrobe put together, "Thanks for playing."

She smiles politely, skipping away past a crying girl in a Mulan costume. The little Belle stops, looking at the little Mulan, wiping her tears, wrapping her in a hug and giving her the doll. Now that is a sweet kid.

I sit, perched on top of my ready-into-drop-me-into-freezing-water pedistal, swaying my 'tail' back and forth, watching the fabric flow with the motion my restricted legs make.

"PERCY!" I hear Sarah's excited squeal.

I glance up from the chilly crystal clear water below me, seeing Sarah dressed in a Alice in Wonderland costume, blue below-the-knee length gown with lacy accents and a starch white crisp apron tied around her thin waist. Her hair was in ringlet curls, bouncing along in her light, skippy step. I glance at her entourage as well, going from Cinderella and Snow White to Prince Charming and Flynn Ryder and back to Jasmine and Elsa.

"Hey Sarah, having fun?" I ask, leaning down from my booth as far as possible to give a hug to her outstretched arms.

"Totally!" she shouts in excitement, jumping around in a circle.

"Who are all these characters?" I question with a smile.

"That's Jenny, Eva, Blake, Marco..." She trails on with her friends and I lose count of all the names and children surrounding the booth.

"Fun! Who wants to play?" I say holding up the baseballs.

A dozen arms shoot up in the air, waving wildly for me to pick them. I hand them first to Sarah and the sea of kids step back, making a semi circle around her, giving her room for a wide backswing. She winds up, chucking the ball at the target, hitting the professionally painted Flounder on the back board. It bounces off, landing in the hands of another kid. Sarah takes another swing, slapping one of Ariel's unnamed sisters in the cheek, denting the plywood.
