Oxygen (Aqualad x Reader)

  Hey! So this was requested by New_Orleans0v0 so I hope you enjoy. Also sorry it took so long.

Splash!.......

Water........

Breath....I need to breath........

There was an explosion.........

I never had time to take a breath before I hit the water.........

Never thought I'd want oxygen so badly........

Earlier

  We were called to Gotham to stop Killer Crock from stealing a bag of diamonds. We were fighting and every time he turned I had to jump over his tail. I finally got a hit on him but it only sliced the bag open causing tons of little diamonds to stream out.
  He snarled at me but I continued to hit him with everything I had. So did everyone else. After a couple minutes he finally gave in and ran towards the dock dropping the now empty bag.
  He looked at me and grinned just as I turned to look at my brother, Wally.
  "Sis!" he yelled.
  I looked to my feet as something rolled to them.
  Grenade
  As I thought the word my feet began to move towards the dock and away from the grenade. I managed to get far enough away that it didn't do any real damage, but I was still close enough to be blown into the water and get hit by shrapnel.
The blast knocked the wind out of me and I hit the water before I got the chance to breath. I can't see anything because of how dark it is but I can hear Crock swimming in my area. I don't think can see me either but he knows I'm here. Hopefully the water stops him from smelling me but like I said, hope.
  I can feel his tail graze my foot and know he felt it too because he instantly whipped around. I reacted quickly and sliced with my dagger in his direction landing a hit on him causing him to retreat back slightly. I tried to swim as fast as I could but I knew it wouldn't be long before he caught up to me. I managed to get my hand on the dock, before he grabbed my ankle, and someone grabbed a hold of it. I felt myself being pulled in two directions but eventually Crock won and I slipped from the grip of whoever was trying to save me.
  As Crock dragged me deeper and deeper I couldn't hold my breath any longer and inhaled a lungfull of water. We had just hit the bottom when I passed out.

Time skip to five minutes
  I feel lips on mine and wake up coughing. Wally runs over to me and hugs me when I finish hacking. I hug him back as I gasp for air. He lets go and smiles at me before looking at someone beside me. I follow his eyes to see Aqualad standing beside me. He kneels down and I can see that he's soaked.
  I turn to him as realization hits me and wrap him in the tightest hug I could give him. It takes a moment for him to hug back but he does. When I pull away I smile and say thank you before looking at his arm. I gasp when I see a huge gash on his bisep.
  "Kaldur!" I exclaim.
  "I am fine (Y/N)." he says, "It doesn't hurt much."
  I pull his arm closer so I can examine the injury. Its deep and he's losing a lot of blood.
  "We have to get you back t-!" I'm interrupted by his lips on mine and I'm still shocked when he pulls away so I finish my sentence, "base..." I trail of at the end and Wally leaves us alone. I look at Kaldur and he stands helping me up. We stand there for a moment before anyone speaks. "I suppose we should go then." he says.
  "Yeah."
  We begin walking away and I smile to myself thinking I should drown more often. I place my hand in his and continue like that until we get back.
