"NINTEN!" A voice screamed. A sickening CRACK echoed through the mountains, as a body became limp.

Ninten.

He was having trouble moving, his clothes were drenched in blood and sweat. His hands were shaky and he couldn't stand up anymore.

His sobs were muffled by his own hands pressed against his face--his shaky hands. The pain was unbearable--not even Lifeup was going to fix it. It was that bad.

"STAY BACK, YOU MONSTER!" Another voice boomed, firing a laser gun of sorts. A screech came from the monster..

Gieuge.

"I'll hold him off, get Ninten!"

Fast footsteps were heard. Though the side of his head was practically almost impaled, he could still hear clearly.

"N-Ninten, can you hear me!? P-please, please be okay."

Ana.

His head was resting on her arm, as he opened his eyes slightly. Yelling, roaring, and the sound of lasers was still in the background.

His vision was slightly blurry, but he could see---water? No, those were tears. There were tears in her eyes.

He opened his mouth to say something. To say he was okay. To say everything would be fine.

..But he would be lying.

He could feel his life slipping away every moment. He wasn't going to make it. He knew that.

His voice was quiet and shushed as he choked on his words,

"T--take..a m..elod--y..."

She recognized it. "Are--are you--"

"A..na..th--the melody..s..sing it..plea..se.."

She was puzzled, "What do you mean!? Ninten!?"

Another screech was heard, followed by a CRUNCH. The yelling had turned into screaming.

"LLOYD!"

"A..na.."

She quickly turned to face him.

"B..bo--th of y.."

He spat blood onto the ground, gripping her sleeve, "--you, s--sing the..melody..ple..ease.."

Her eyes widened as she realized how drastic the situation was.

"I'll--okay! I have to help Lloyd--please hang in there!"

She placed his head on the ground gently, footsteps quickly being heard and falling silent.

Ninten gave a weak smile as blood poured onto the ground. The rocks were covered in it.

He wasn't going to make it. He gripped the ground with his hand, and..

His body went limp.

"LLOYD! AIM FOR THE HEAD!"

zzzERPP! Lloyd fired the laser gun of sorts.

The monster screeched louder. And louder.

He gripped his arm, tired and about to drop the gun,

"It's--It's not working Ana!! It won't DIE!!"

"Lloyd, listen--do you--do you remember the melody!?"

"Yes, obviously!! Why is that important right now!?"

"Ninten--he said to sing the melody--"

Lloyd looked at his gun, finally dropping it onto the ground. Blood dripped at a not-so good rate.

"Why the hell should we sing the melody at this point!? It's either kill it or we die! Its basically half dead by this point!"

"But-"

"NO BUTS! IM ENDING IT NOW!"

She was suprised by his hostility as he quickly picked up his gun again.

"If you want to help, then shield me! Freeze it! Do something MORE then just stand around!"

"FINE! PK FIRE!"

A ball of fire hit the alien like creature, instantly igniting it into flames. It screamed, Lloyd continued to fire his gun. Over and over.

"PK FIRE!!"

Another fireball. The fire had gotten larger.

Lloyd aimed for the head. It was about time he finished it off. Once and for all.

HEADSHOT!

Blood shot out of the head, as the alien's body finally collapsed.

"Did--did we--"

"WE WON!"

Ana practically jumped with glee, "It's finally over! Giegue is dead! We can go home!"

Lloyd smiled, "Ninten will be really happy. He's been wanting to go home more then the both of us."

"NINTEN! WE BEAT GIEUGE!"

..There wasn't a response.

"..Ninten?"

"Hold on, Ana." Lloyd's voice was slightly shaky as he crouched next to Ninten's body.

He placed his hand on his stomach.

His face quickly twisted into shock and panic.

"An--Ana, he--HE DOESN'T HAVE A PULSE!"

It looked like her entire world had just been crushed. Just like that.

"Y--your joking, right!?"

He shook his head, hushing his voice, "No. I'm not joking." Tears had already started to form in his eyes.

She huddled towards his body--his limp body. He was still bleeding from every limb.

"He--HE CAN'T BE GONE! HE'S SURVIVED SO MUCH--WE'VE KNOWN HIM FOR SO LONG!"

She covered her face with her hands, muffling her yelling slightly as she began to break down.

"..Ana..we..we can't just cry here over his body. Please listen." He was crying. She could see that.

..But he was right. Crying wouldn't solve anything.

"We have to tell..everyone. He needs a proper burial. I'm not saying you can't cry, just.."

He trailed off, "Don't expect him to come back."

"Not everyone gets a happy ending. I should of told you that sooner, Ana. I'm sorry."
