"Good evening everyone. To our first years, welcome to the place that you'll learn to become a wizard, if you apply yourself you can reach unknown potential, make friends to last a lifetime and set up the rest of your lives. And to all the familiar faces, welcome back. I hope there is less trouble then last year and I want to remind you that anyone found out of bed after hours by Mr. Finch will be persecuted appropriately. Good luck to all our O.W.L.S and N.E.W.T.S students this year and remember to earn house points for your house accordingly. Now, let the feast begin."
"I love that McGonagall is always quick with her little speech because she knows that we only care about the food. Did you see her look at us when she spoke about causing trouble? I'm offended!" Harry offers making Hayley roll her eyes. "She was probably looking at Hayley though because James and I are absolute angels!" He puts on a shocked face as Hayley doesn't even glance up from her food to respond.
"Hey guys, Quidditch tryouts this Thursday. Thought you'd want to know." Fred says coming over and stealing a chip from Hayley's plate. "You literally have food that magically appears for you so stop stealing mine before I stab you." She warns twirling her fork between her fingers as Fred puts his hands up in defence.
"Don't worry Fred, she's been moody all day. I think it's her time of the month." Harry explains making Hayley's mouth go agape as Fred stifles a chuckle. Even James was surprised his friend went there, knowing that it was a line you never crossed with woman. Oh, his friend was in for it.
"Did you just?" Hayley was actually shocked. "Never. Ever. Imply. That. Again." She says in between hitting him across the table with her book and finishing by throwing pumpkin juice over him. "You should know better by now. James certainly has." She criticises earning a victorious smile from James as Harry pouted. He did that a lot.
"Yeah, Harry!" James says sticking his tongue out making Hayley roll her eyes at the two of them. She did that a lot as well and honestly questioned sometimes why she was friends with them. "Are you two going to be like this all year?" She asks already tired.
"Whatever do you mean Hails, we are delightful despite the constant hate on your end." James replies innocently. They were both a handle individually for anyone and Hayley Weasley wondered how she dealt with them on a daily basis.
