And finally, the long awaited land, Italy, their promised land, the heaven on earth for them. Happiness spilled out of their eyes as the city lights sparkled in the distance. They lay ashore with a smile on their faces; nothing would ever replace the feeling of their relief from the interminable journey. "Talian ya Gee, l7a9na ya kho, khlaset l miziriya..." said Frankie trying to catch his breaths, Gee throw himself right beside him, also, breathing heavily, and that's when their hands found a way to entwine.
"Wah, hamdoullah." After catching breaths, they decided to get up and start their new life. The city was enormous and glittering, which made them feel like little sewer mice along the dirty looks people were throwing at them. Frankie hid his fears with his tough looks, but Gee's eyes knew no lies. Frankie noticed this so he took Gee's hand and pressed on it.
"Ma tkhafch rani m3ak" he said, feeling his companion's nervousness, he pressed his hand to let a small smile appear on his face for a moment, and he knew that, with this honest smile, that it is enough to make Gee feel safe inside.
"Cha ndiro derwek?" Asked Gee, the question that none of them has an answer to.
"Nemcho, hata na3erfo l plaça mlih, mnba3d sahel." He answered not really knowing.
"Bessah 3yina, rana 3andna sa3tin w hna netmechaw, l ghachi bdaw ychko fina beli fina louche"
"Ya kho nrouho l kach hotel sghir nbato mn ba3d yferejha rebbi"
"W swared kifah?"
"Ma tkhafch ya chbab, 3andi chwiya euros 9is ma n3icho hata naviguiw khadma." A small hotel in a dark corner was their destination, some junkies and prostitutes were on the pavement, as all eyes were on the two young men they shivered. Frankie entered the hotel to be greeted with a tall, muscular, heavily tattooed man as a receptionist, he was hesitant at first, but a reassuring look from Gee gave him the strength to begin a conversation with the gigantic guy. He walked to him and waved, but couldn't utter a single word, no, he doesn't know how to speak; he knew nothing in Italian and choked on his own familiar sounds, which annoyed the receptionist.
"Des touristes, un chambre, dormir..." Gee backed his with a shaking voice.
"Parla in italiano o parti" said the big guy with anger in his voice.
"Cha ndiro ya Frankie rana haslin..." whispered Gee puzzled.
"Asber ya kho 9outlek ma tkhafch." Reassured him Frankie, before turning his words to the receptionist, "Algérie, pas italien, parle pas, dormir wé"
"italiano o fanculo" yelled the HUD slamming his fist on the table, getting angry as he lost his patience, Gee jumped behind Frankie as fear controlled his mind and actions.
"Khalina nrew7o ya Frankie yer7am Chibani..." he begged.
"Oh ya kho... aya amchi." Frankie couldn't stand the sad tone that Gee's voice bear, he grabbed his hand and started going back on their steps, until they heard a feminine voice behind them
"Hey you!" Gee turned around to find a tall black haired skinny girl in a leather jacket, small skirt with fishnet stockings, that stood at the end of the stairs, chewing an electric pink gum loudly. Gee pointed his finger to his chest asking if she was addressing him, she nodded slightly with a smirk and walked towards him. "Yes pretty boy, I'm talking to you." she said in a soft seductive voice, she seemed to, to the them, be one of the prostitutes they gazed at in the empty street of the unknown city. Luckily Gee understood some basic English so he could tell she is really talking to him.
"What? Moi... mon ami?" He asked in a broken language that made the prostitute giggle a bit as she passed her hand in Gee's hair and let her finger down to cross his cheeks, neck, and chest.
"You are pretty, both of you are. Wait here I'll get you a room." She walked slowly, letting her high heels echo, to reach the receptionist and sat on his lap, said some Italian words to him in a seductive accent, to plant a little kiss on his cheek and turn to Gee and Frankie winking at them with her honey colored eyes.
"Wach rahi t9oul ya kho ma Rani fahm Walo..."
"Raha 9atli beli douk deberlna chambra, 9are3 9are3!" said Gee in an excited tone without moving his eyes from the prostitute who walked again towards him.
"Follow me pretty boys." she said in a slutty tone and made her way up the stairs, Frankie and Gee following her. She played with the key in between her fingers, Frankie stared at her butt as she walked up until she opened up to a small room with a bed for two, a very old, small and dusty TV and a vintage couch, she handed the key to Gee as she sat on the edge of the bed "Let me guess... You two are gay lovers running away from your country's tradition right?" None of them seemed to understand so she smirked to add, turning to Frankie this time "Gay? Homo?" Gee understood and blushed as he nodded adding a small wah as a response."Wah? Is this your way to say yes? How adorable." she said, Frankie squeezed Gee's arm for him to translate what turned his cheeks red.
"9atli Ida n7abo ba3d."
"Wach dakhelha hadi douka, nessra3ha, ndrobha?" Frankie heated up aggressively to his intimacy.
"Askout, raha 3awnetna..." The prostitute chuckled as she stood up, she light a cigarette and threw the other remaining ones along with the lighter flying to the bed.
"I'm Martina, I own a club, and since have a soft spot to the pretty boys, I'll take care of both of you, I, also, happen to be out of pole dancers, and you seem to fit..." she smiled and kissed both of them on the cheek, adding, as she walked out, "Meet me tomorrow at eight in the morning, at the door of the motel, I'll help you." She left for them to rest from their journey on the dead bed.
