her knuckles were white from being clenched together so hard and her palms were sweaty as she stared into the elevator doors, waiting for them to open. the time she spent standing there, ascending upwards was dreadful, for she was nervous.

she had been stressed lately since being the ceo's assistant wasn't an easy job. her boss would constantly throw ridiculous amounts of work on her plate and expect them all done in a day.

so when she woke up the next day sat at her desk with a stack of papers still unfinished, she knew she was in for it.

the elevator soon made a 'ding', and she took a deep breath before stepping out of the elevator and walking down the long corridor until she stood outside her boss's office. she looked down to her work bag which held the unfinished papers and gulped, looking down to her high heels.

she had to tell him the truth, despite the consequences.

she took another deep breath as she pulled a strand of her soft hair behind her ear and knocked on the door. her breath hitched as she heard her boss mumble a "come in" as her cue.

her shaky hands hesitantly grasped the door handle and she twisted it, not even daring to look up to him as she closed the door behind her.

"good morning sir," she murmured, walking towards his desk and placing her work bag on one of the chairs in front of him.

"morning y/n," he greeted her, looking at her as she kept her head down low. "do you have the papers i asked for?"

right then and there, she felt her whole world stop spinning. she should've expected it to be the first thing he said to her today, but she somehow still wasn't prepared for it.

she fumbled with her fingers as he sat up straighter, resting his elbow on the desk and placing his chin in his palm. he seemed to already know what was going on, and at that, he smirked amusingly.

"i-i didn't get the chance to finish them," she mumbled quietly, yet he still managed to hear her. "i've just been really stressed and tired and i just ended up falling asleep working last night."

he chuckled lowly to himself, catching her attention as she finally looked up to him as he stood up from his desk chair, walking around the desk to stand in front of her.

"that's okay," jaebeom murmured in her ear as he leaned towards it, carefully twirling a strand of her soft hair in his finger. "but you know you'll have to make it up to me right?"

her face flushed and she looked anywhere other than his eyes, settling on the pattern of his tie. she gulped and nodded her head as a response meanwhile he made his way over to her other ear, ghosting his lips over her earlobe.

"do you think you can do that for me?" he asked her in a whisper. "hmm?"

she couldn't breathe although this wasn't the first time he had make advantages towards her. they had a strange relationship, jaebeom and y/n.

the second y/n walked into his office to be interviewed for the job as his assistant, he couldn't keep his eyes off her. somehow he knew from the first meeting that she was the one.

after being employed, she tried to deny the fact that her boss, even though incredibly attractive, might've had something for her. she honestly thought it was her mind playing tricks on her, until the first time he flirted with her.

but here they were now, her leaning back into his desk as he breathed in her ear, waiting for her reply.

she nodded her head as a response, but that only made him chuckle.

"use your words," he chuckled. "princess."

she melted at the pet name as she gulped down the lump in her throat.

"yes sir," her voice was hoarse. she was nervous. every time these things happened between them, she couldn't help but wonder what her coworkers would think of her if they knew.

jaebeom chuckled once again and pressed a kiss against her ear, caressing her cheek.

"good girl," he said in approval before bringing his face back to the center of hers, locking his eyes onto her lips. he leaned down and touched his lips to her, an action which shocked her as she jumped. "relax."

he murmured that against her lips before kissing her once more, bringing one hand down behind her to support himself against the desk as his other hand caressed her cheek, often brushing her hair.

she couldn't help but give in to her own desire as sat on the desk and wrapped her arms around his neck.

they were lost in their own little world until they were interrupted by a few soft knocks on the door. they both rushed to get off each other as he made his way back over to his desk chair, sitting down as she sat down on one of the chairs in front of him.

"come in," he cleared his throat afterwards, yet making sure to send y/n a wink. she blushed and looked down as a coworker of hers walked in and began a conversation with jaebeom.

she only hoped that they didn't notice her flushed face nor jaebeom's swift glances at her.
