Noah

You know how they say that we know about 0.0004% of the internet?

      It's odd isn't it?

      What about that other 99.996%?

They way I see it, people are the same way, all of us are just ordinary right?

That's what we are raised to believe; that anything outside of reality is a fantasy and nothing more. In actuality there are extraordinary people out there who are beyond the realm of reality. Albeit a special few, but they are out there; correction, we're out there, and we live just like you.

Me for example, Noah Callahan, twenty one years old and riding a full scholarship at Oxford University. I'm originally from Seattle, Washington, but when I was given this opportunity to go and study at one of the most prestigious schools in England. I just couldn't say no. It was hard, I was leaving everything I knew behind; my sister and my friends. Trading that for the unfamiliar streets of southern England was probably the hardest choice I've ever made, but my sister, Lucy, pushed me to Go. Since I never had the money to fly home and visit, I haven't seen her in four years. Of course we Skype and text, but it's just not the same. But the day has come, I've graduated and I'm finally going home, bringing a new friend along. Sounds pretty ordinary right?

"Kaleb are you sure you want to come to the states with me?" I asked.

"Got nothin' else for me here, plus I've never been to America so I guessed it was the perfect chance," He shrugged.

"Mr. Callahan?" The lady behind the desk clarified.

      "Yes."

"So your seats have been moved up to first class," She said.

I frowned, "There must be some mistake."

She typed into the computer and then shook her head, "It says right here, two first class seats under Noah Callahan."

I looked at Kaleb and he threw his hands up, "Hey mate it wasn't me, and we'll take the seats."

He grabbed the tickets from the lady and we headed toward the terminal, "This is weird."

"Look I don't know what you keep bitching about, they're first class seats," Kaleb said.

"I'm not complaining, aren't you curious though?" I asked.

"Yeah I guess but who cares?"

Once we finally got on the plane, I reclined my seat back to get some rest while Kaleb set up a travel easel and pulled out his sketch supplies.

"You know in the four years I've known you, I've never seen you sleep," I said curiously.

"I don't sleep," He responded without looking in my direction.

"Okay?" I said pulling the blanket over me and rolling on my side.

Pretty ordinary right? Normal life, normal friends. I wish it were that simple.
