~Natsu's POV~
I pulled her quickly up the path with my hand, leading us passed huge trees and leaf-covered ground. I knew I should at least try to play it cool, but then thought, 'Why the heck would I bother with that now, anyways?' I can sense she's getting tired, but I just keep pulling her quickly at my fast speed, assuring her that we are almost there. Finally, after climbing a steep hill (she complained a lot, but I didn't mind) we reached my final destination.
"What is this place?" Lucy's giant eyes filled with wonder. I got distracted for a second by her eyes, which reminded me of chocolate, which reminded me of food. But I snapped out of it quickly.
"Oh right..." I grin at her. "Welcome to my mini paradise." I was glad she liked it. I hadn't brought anyone here in forever...not since...
I shook my head. I was not going to think about that, not right now.
Lucy looked around amazed. I could relate to how she felt. It was beautiful. Who would have thought that right in the middle of the woods was a giant waterfall, conecting to a peaceful steam. The whole place shown in beautiful colors, and practically glowing.
"Wow...who knew a guy like you had a thing for such amazing places?" Lucy laughed at me. I turned away from her, blushing lightly, with my hands on the back of my head.
"Don't get used to it." This just made her laugh more. And well, I started laughing too. So we were just two teenagers, in the middle of the woods, skipping class, standing in the most beautiful place we had ever seen, laughing our heads off. If thats not freaking strange, then I don't know what is.
"So Luce," I say, after our laughter had died away, and I had sat down against a tree, my hands behead my head casually, "Now that we're friends, i think we should get to know each other better."
"Wait-your saying saying we're friends?" she says, blushing for who knows why.
"Yeah," I say, brushing away her dumb question. "Anyways, I have a good idea. I can ask you a question, and then you can ask me a question."
"Ok....fine. But no seriously personal questions, or I might just murder you, Natsu Dragoneel."
"Is that a threat?"
We burst out laughing. This is why I like Luce. She's so much easier to talk to than other girls. She reminds me of her...
"Ok, heres my first question." I say, smirking. "How come you never talked to me before I hit you with my skateboard?"
"Well....My best friend Erza, I think you know her, she's the student presedent..." I shiver at hearing her name. My Luce is friends with the scariest person in school???
"She's not that bad after you get to know her." Lucy says, seeing my reaction to hearing her name. "Anyways, she thinks you guys are total idiots-You know, you, Gray, Gajeel, and your other friends. So, she tries to keep my other friends and me away from you guys."
"Ohh... well, that explains it. And I guess you can't blame her." I grin.
"Ok! It's my turn." Lucy says, an evil smile on her face. "Whats your favorite type of food?" I groan. I've always been proud of how I love to eat so much, but I still have a lean and musclar body. But favorite type of food? How am I supposed to answer that?
"Um well..." And then I say the first thing that randomly pops into my head. "Fire."
"Fire?!?! What type of answer is that?!?!" She says, laughing at me.
"I dunno...I kinda just said the first thing I could think of." I laughed sheepishly.
"Ok, fire-eater. We should probaly head back to school now. My dads going to kill me when he finds out I skipped."
"Oh don't worry about that." I grin at her. "The ladies who work in the office love me. That's why I can skip so much school but still pull high grades. Your perfect attendence with remain unmarked."
We laugh and talk all the way back to the school.
Lucy Heartfilla may be a drag sometimes, but she is still pretty awesome.
