Dear God

Intro

Everyone knows that, God knows us more than anyone. I used to wonder why is that? Then it hit me, we speak to him more than we speak to anyone, even when we don't realize it.

I have spent years of my life asking God for a physical best friend, when he has been here all along and it took me so long to figure it out. Better late than never right ? I speak to God about anything. I am a middle child of 5 kids and rumor has it we are kind of the most neglected, is that true ? Well it felt like that growing up.

              I couldn't confide in anyone because no one really paid me any mind like I wanted them to. That caused me to seek attention in the wrong places and so on, (that's another story for another chapter). Well here I am now, as old as I feel but as young as I am, finally expressing myself to and through God. What an amazing feeling.

       There is really no better friend to communicate with thank God. He listens, comforts, and guides. When men would fail to give you an honest shoulder to cry on, the Lord gives it unconditionally without any remorse or falsity. There's no one like Out Lord.

I aspire to inspire anyone who has been or is in the same boat with me. Life is beautiful especially when you have a friend like Jesus Christ.

It is not easy opening up to people, especially if you're used to keeping everything to yourself like I am. It's hard to find someone who actually listens and not just look at you like you have two heads, pretending to hear everything you have said. God has never pretended to listen. Every one your secrets he already knows and he awaits for you to open up and acknowledge what it is that you've done and allow him to help you.

Sometimes we want help but we don't ask for it, we expect for people to know what we need help and for them to do it as if they can read minds. Even though God can read our mind and he knows every inch of hair that is on our skin, he still wants us to willingly give it all to him and to trust him. He cannot do anything to change our situations if we don't give all the troubles to him.

It's amazing how the Lord has all the power to intervene in our lives and yet we still struggle. Why is that ? He said in his word,
"Matthew 7:7: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
We expect him to make a way and yet we don't ask the right way. Saying "God take my troubles away " isn't sufficient. He said in his word, " James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions." We are asking for the wrong things. Instead of saying,
" God I need a new car", ask "father God please grant me a better job so that I can be able to afford a better car, amen". He hears us when we call, and he comes through at the right time. He is never late.
