   GABRIELLE'S POV

Justin and I's wedding was still the hottest topic 4 weeks later. I was never going to forget our wedding either. It was the best day of my life, and it was just... perfect. However, Justin and I's schedules had been crazy. We even had to cut our honeymoon short, but it was still amazing, though.
At this very moment, I was playing Connect Four with Amelia. We had been playing this for so long that she was really just making different patterns with the red discs. Even though we weren't even going up against each other anymore, I was just happy that she was having a good time.

Amelia looked at me and said,"Where's Justin?"

I smiled at the thought of him and replied,"He had to do an interview. He'll be here eventually. Don't worry."

Amelia nodded and crawled over to me, sitting down in my lap.

I wrapped my arms around her, and she said,"Gab, he came to my class, and he colored with me!"

I gently squeezed Amelia as I said,"He did? That adorable man... I didn't know that, but I'm sure that you enjoyed that, didn't you?"

Amelia nodded and yelled,"I want ice cream!!"

I held my ears, and Amelia frowned before she said,"Sorry, Gab. Can we please get ice cream?"

I nodded and helped Amelia put on her jacket before I led her out to my car. I buckled her in before I drove to the nearest ice cream shop. I picked up Amelia because I was scared that she would run off. Of course, I didn't want anything to happen to her.

Amelia buried her face in my neck and said,"Gab, I want chocolate chip."

  I said,"Okay. I'll get it for you."

I gave the cashier a smile, but she looked me up and down.

  Oh, here we go...

I said,"Can I please just order? All I want is ice cream. Just give me the ice cream."

She chuckled and said,"You think that I'M going to take YOUR order? You don't deserve Justin. It should have been me."

I chuckled, and she didn't like that. Instead of taking my order, she just walked off. Since I didn't want to deal with her anymore, I just got someone else to take my order. I made sure that I gave that employee a big tip, too. Amelia had fallen asleep on my shoulder, and I slowly sat back down in a seat.

I woke her up, and she thanked me for the ice cream. I reached across the table and wiped her chin before a group of girls walked up to the table.

One sent me a fake smile and said,"You know, your music is decent. I'll give you that, but your career's practically over at this point. Maybe that's why you're with Justin."

What was up with these girls today?

The other girls just looked like they were trying to size me up, but I wasn't fazed by any of them. They were really just wasting my time and their own time, to be honest.

One of the other girls looked over at Amelia and smirked as she said,"What is she? Your kid?"

Amelia crawled under the table and climbed up on the seat before she leaned on my arm.

I rubbed her back, but I looked back at the girls saying,"You all need to leave this table right now. Just go home."

I really wasn't trying to get into anything. All I wanted was to spend time with Amelia, but I should have known that we were better off just getting the ice cream and going back to Justin and I's place.

The girls still didn't leave, and that was when I just picked up Amelia. I pushed past the girls, and when I tried to open the door, my wedding ring got caught on something on the door. I gently tried to pull it off, but it wouldn't budge. The girls were now behind me, but they were still talking, still running their mouths. When I finally got the ring loose from the fabric on the door, the door opened, and the ring flew on the concrete. Before I could pick up the ring, I was surrounded by the paparazzi. I put my hand in front of my face to try to block out all the light, but I had lost sight of the ring.

Amelia held on tighter to me as she said,"G..Gab."

I looked to my right to see the paparazzi shoving cameras in Amelia's face.

  "Stop! Just back up!"

   JUSTIN'S POV

It felt good being out there, but I was tired and ready to see my wife. Gabrielle was my wife. I was still trying to process the fact that Gabrielle Selene Barnes was my wife. She was talented, amazing, and just so beautiful. I knew that I was lucky to have her, so I was going to do everything in my power to be the best husband in the world to her.

When I walked through the front door, I wasn't greeted by my wife or Amelia. That was odd. I looked around the living room and Connect Four was on the floor, along with a few other board games.

  I yelled,"BABY GIRL??? AMELIA??"

  Nothing.

I looked around the house for either one of them, but neither of them were here. Looking outside, Gabrielle's car was gone.

Duh, Justin. If her car isn't here, then she's not here.

I called her phone, but it went straight to voicemail. I ran my fingers through my hair, and then I turned on the T.V. and sat down on the sofa. I went to call Gabrielle again, but then I saw what was on the television screen. It was footage of Gabrielle holding Amelia while Gabrielle tried to get through the large crowd of paparazzi. It looked like it was right down the road.

Immediately, I bolted outside and got into the car before I pulled off to help out my wife.

   GABRIELLE'S POV

With every step that I took, it just felt like more paparazzi would show up. Amelia was shaking because she was scared. I kept talking to her, but it wasn't doing much. I hated that I couldn't do much to help her, but I couldn't even get to my car. When the paparazzi began to turn around, I became confused. That was when I saw Justin pushing his way through to get to me and Amelia.

  My hero.

I let out a sigh of relief, and he yelled,"GAB, YOU OKAY??"

Once Justin made it to Amelia and me, he gave me multiple kisses and rested his hand on Amelia's head saying,"Amelia, you okay, sweetheart?"

Justin took Amelia from me and took my hand before he got the three of us to his car. The ring...

Justin tried to get me to get into his car, but I said,"No! I have to go back."

  Justin said,"Why? Baby, what's wrong?"

  I said,"I...I..."

I couldn't tell him that I had lost the ring that he spent so much money on.

The paparazzi began to get closer to the car, and Justin just said,"We can talk about whatever it is later, baby, but we need to get Amelia out of here."

I nodded and got into the car before Justin got in himself. He quickly drove off before I leaned back against my seat.

Justin glanced over at me, and I looked back at Amelia.

  I asked her,"You okay, baby?"

She nodded, but I knew that she wasn't okay. We were almost at home, so I could talk to her and Justin then.
