A top the glorious church there lived a boy his name Qusamodo hidden away for horrid appearance. He was known to the town as the mysterious bell keeper the one who was responsible for filling the town with the beautiful chimes of the bells from Notre Dame. He had very little contact with anyone that lived in the church and the people who lived outside of the church. Very little people knew the true story of how he ended up in that tower. But, there was a girl who considered Qusamodo a brother and not a monster. She was the daughter of the infamous Judge Frollo. Everyone in town knew who she was because she was beautiful beyond belief. Her hair always fell the right way, eyes that sparkled like beautiful jewels, skin as soft like the finest silk, and her heart was pure like fresh snow on a winters day. She only chose to see the beauty in the world and not the negatives. Unlike her father who only saw the evils in the world.

(y/n pov)

I looked down below at the festival going on there were so many colors and sounds that it flooded my head. The festival of fools was always one of my favorite things in the whole world! Unlike my father who despised the festival of the fools.

“I don’t understand why you would choose to stay up here with me instead of going down there and enjoy the festival,” Quasimodo questioned me putting down his wooden figurine of a woman he carved.

“How am I suppose to enjoy the festival if my friend can’t enjoy it as well?” I questioned Qusimodo right back.

“But, you can go out there and enjoy the festival you can walk among them for me I simply cannot, I would make everyone scared.” He said sadly looking down.

I walk over to my adoptive brother taking his hands into mine making him look at me.

“You don’t scare me, brother,” a kind smile found its way to my face making quasi feel more at ease.

He smiled then as quickly as it appeared it faded away “You may believe that (Y/N) but others won’t,” he said rather sadly.

Before I could respond to what he had just said the doors to the bell tower opened and my father appeared in the doorway holding a basket of what the contents were most likely cheese and fruits for Quasimodo.

“Children, whatever are you speaking about?” My father questioned us while placing the basket down onto the table.

I looked at Quasimodo then back at my father it was like the air went still the moment he walked into the room “Nothing father,” I responded my head down looking at the floor.

Father scoffed looking at me “(Y/N) I don’t believe the floor is speaking to you, I am so make eye contact when someone is speaking,”

Looking up at my father he walked over to me placing and hand on my shoulder “Come along daughter we must ready ourselves for the festival of the fools. I have custom made a gown for the very occasion. Even though I despise it so,” Father said with a look of disgust painted on his face at the mere mention of the festival of fools. “Now hurry along daughter go home and the maids will help you dress and get ready,”

“Yes father,” I obey and leave the bell tower closing the door behind me.

I let out a large sigh after it was closed. Why couldn’t my best friend/ brother come to the festival of the fools he’s 20 years old and not a child anymore. Then again so am I and I still allow father to boss me around like I was still a little child. It is quite puzzling if I do say so myself. Better get a move on I to have to get dressed for the festival poor Quasimodo all he wants is to be out here like the rest of us. I walked out of the church and took one last look at the bell tower sighing before heading on my way.
