Totally Spies Season 5 finale underwater action scene- not shown onscreen in animation. They cut to a shot of Clover after they come out from the water (making me think she pulled this off) while Alex and Sam distracted it. Then cut to the still frame robot wrapped up underwater in the chain.
I can see why animation would be a nightmare on this. The chain was a lot of work. It had to be long enough to wrap around the robot multiple times, so part of it going offscreen helped. Thrusters work underwater, I assume!
